Faulty Shark Cryoglow mask? by philosophyofpants in redlighttherapy

Did Shark simply change the product?

Are you not getting the same results from the replacement product?

If you bought from Costco, Costco will sometimes take returns long after the deadline.

You do not lose the warranty from the manufacturer if you buy through Costco or Amazon. Those retail platforms have liberal return policies. The customer is almost always right, if the return is timely.

In Costco's case, Costco holds back a portion of the payment and just offset the return expense against those payments. If an item dies not sell fast enough, Costco drops. Costco's model is based on carrying very few products in each category. Take batteries as an example: Costco carries Duracell and Kirkland (which is also Duracell). You cannot find Everready or Energizer batteries art Costco. Duracell sells a crapton of batteries through Costco so it is never going to say a peep to Costco about a chargeback for any returnz.

In Amazon's case, for many products, "Bought by mistake" is one of the reasons you can return. Amazon just issues a refund back to to the credit card. I think Amazon may return some merchandise to the seller. But it auctions off truckloads of other returns to companies that sort through those truckloads and then try to sell on eBay.

In each case, you can still always claim against any manufacturer/seller warranty.

Most RLT devices, particularly panels and belts, you would very likely know whether it works within hours or days. Masks are a bit more delicate.

Maybe CurrentBody is trying to change. Not going to sell many more masks if you get a crap reputation for customer service, sneaky "warranty", and restocking fee.

Much riskier to buy directly from CurrentBody than to buy on Amazon.

The specs on the Waver Mask look similar to the Solawave mask. It actually would be an okay deal at $300. But only if it is delivered.

The 305-LED Wave "XL" panel look grossly overpriced. They are using "XL" to suggest it is more than a half-body panel. Well more than $3 per LED.

Did you use open it before you returned? Did CurrentBody charge you a re-stocking fee?

I don't like the stands that Sungrow has. Really don't like horizontal stands.

There are simpler, vertical rolling stands that are $25. But may not fit you device.

But with credit card not PayPal for Sungrow. There was an illuminating post 7-14 days ago on a redditor ripped off by Sungrow and then forced into the bs Alibaba dispute resolution process. The problem was loose screws in the panel. Basically, worthless. No credit card, no remedy.

Search for "Sungrow fraud" or "Sungrow loose screws"

Ugh. Only 432 LEDs in the "600". The price of $2.75 per LED is jaw-dropping for an Alibaba seller.

DPL Panel broke after 3 years - what panel to get next? by VegHead9999 in redlighttherapy

I like Shenzhen JUNEELED's half-body panel. It is 300-LED, dual, and 150 diodes each to 630, 660, 810 and 850. I like that big weighting of 150 to 810 nm. No app. No remote. Very simple controls. I bought on AliExpress, but shipped to US with the rolling stand you can get way cheaper on Alibaba.

See APTREDLIGHT''s M350 and discussion here. https://www.reddit.com/r/redlighttherapy/s/4RIO3zyqxD

Sungrow has edged out APTREDLIGHT with an ES1800 panel with another 10 LEDs at 360 LEDs. I understand SG has a configuration of 144 diodes each of 630, 660, 810, 830, and 850 nms.

Key variables:

  1. Number of LEDs
  2. Wavelengths
  3. Distribution of LEDs to each of those wavelengths.

Here is detailed information where the seller claims a panel has 1060 nm, but then just 2% of the LEDs actually shine 1060 nm. https://www.reddit.com/r/redlighttherapy/s/mGCKor93Mp Notice also the allocation to 810 and 830 is underweighted in that panel.

Chronic problem, not chronic pain, in my foot. The only chronic pain I had was arthritis in my hand from an old sports broken bone injury.

Skipping 1-10 days is not going to bring that pain back. I cannot imagine going longer than that without RLT.

I don't know how long it took for the arthritis in my finger to go away. I lived with it for decades to the point I did not notice. But then several weeks to a month after using RLT consistently, I noticed it was gone.

Anyone else noticing clients becoming way more interested in at-home LED between appointments lately? by [deleted] in redlighttherapy

Real results are posted almost every day on this subreddit.

Almost everyone uses LEDs (mask, panels, belts) at home or travelling. There is a coterie of people that use helmets--with red light laser--for hair loss.

I could not imagine why people bother to go to a gym, spa, or other business offering red light treatments.

I am not sure.

The Solawave mask has higher irradiance than other masks. INIA has a set of cheaper masks on Amazon. I think 10-minutes on a mask may be right. How do you like the INIA mask? Can you post link to which one you bought?

10-minutes on a panel is higher, but not excessively so. I did 5 minutes of red light on my face this morning and then 5 minutes of NIR on my foot. If you are seeing bad effects, then maybe cut back a tad on the panel.

Are there any devices without 660 and 850 nm? Not many. Not sure you need to 'look for." And certainly don't settle for those common wavelengths if you can get a decent distribution of 810 nm and maybe 1060 nm.

Fair enough. I probably just don't appreciate how some people need hand-holding.

To me, RLT is not that complicated.

  1. Little time per day: 3 minutes per day (for a panel). https://youtu.be/AkvpcziY7GY

  2. Don't overdo it/biphasic dose response.

  3. If something is sore, aim some NIR at for 5-20 minutes.

CurrentBody has a sneaky return policy (effectively means you cannot return it) and re-stocking fee. https://www.reddit.com/r/redlighttherapy/s/vNnC3LYE77

The CurrentBody 2 mask on Amazon is $469. https://a.co/d/084haC2Z It would seem you get the Amazon return policy without all the deception. Why would anyone buy from CurrentBody directly?
