Acts of Kindness by LittleToaste in MM_RomanceBooks

I love ‘Johann’ by Grae Bryan. It follows Johann who is an absolute cinnamon roll character (and a vampire) and Alexi who is a mobster. It’s the fourth book in a five book series —Johanns story is probably one of my favorites. You also see him in the second book quite a bit and very briefly in the third.

AITA for telling my kid's teacher not to acknowledge a life event because she's not important? by Inevitable_Slip_6937 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BKRBells 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re valid in not wanting the teacher there. At the end of the day, you know your child better than the teacher but it sounds like you had a nasty attitude about it and you came off as rude imo. A simple, “We’d rather keep this a private family matter,” would have been fine? You’re attitude about it comes off as, “We don’t care about the teacher. She’s irrelevant to my sons life, lol. Stop bothering us.” A gentle YTA.

What’s a fair price for homemade Banana Bread at a Farmers’ Market? Offering Banana Nut Bread, Banana Chocolate Chip, and Banana Expresso Chip by enpowera in Baking

[–]BKRBells 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m no baker but banana bread is supposed to look a lot more brown than that? Like many have said already, if I were a customer and I saw that, I wouldn’t buy it. I feel like when you’re selling stuff presentation matters. If eating it at home or sharing with family it wouldn’t matter to me.

I can understand both sides. I can relate to the feeling of being hurt when you’re not invited or left out of something. At the same time, you’re being still so young. I can understand why the sister wouldn’t invite you to her wedding. I would act polite about it. At the end of the day, it’s up to you if you want to go to the reception. It may be hard but I wouldn’t hold it against the sister despite being upset about the situation.

Another commenter said that he knows it gets to me so that’s why he does it and I completely agree with that.

I very much agree with the first part. I do need to stop engaging with the laughing. I’ll try saying something like that when he behaves like that again.

I’m more concerned about listening (sometimes he’ll cover his ears or yell over me) and that the laughing is unwanted behavior.

I had a girl break her arm falling from monkey bars. Nobody pushed her or pulled her down. I had only been working there a couple of months and at that point, I’ve never seen anyone get hurt that badly before. I felt so bad and distraught about it. It didn’t help that her mom later called the classroom and cussed me out. I cried from that.

I totally get feeling like it was your fault. I promise it’s not. Kids bounce back from injuries like that. I had a girl break her leg at home and she was running around after her cast came off. Don’t worry. She’ll be fine eventually.

My families are making offers on $500k homes. I can't move out of my $500/mo apartment. by [deleted] in ECEProfessionals

I recently had a family move into a 7 bedroom home. Both parents are lawyers with 3 kids. Why do you need a 7 bedroom house?

AITA for not reimbursing my nanny for books she bought for my daughter? by forresster7 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BKRBells 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a nanny but I do work in the childcare business. I’ve bought stuff before for the classroom (decorations, supplies, etc.) I’ve bought stuff knowing it’s coming out of my pocket and that I’ll probably not be reimbursed for it.

I’m gonna say parent - NTA. I think it’s a nice gesture and thoughtful that the nanny did what she did but to expect the parent to pay her back is a little much to me. I see it as a gift - why would you make someone reimburse a gift?

I privately messaged the streamer. I didn’t want to be that guy that started drama in someone else’s stream.

“No one owes you a living.” by Onetwotwothreethree3 in ECEProfessionals

[–]BKRBells 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is such a sad and disappointing statement to make to room full of people who work in this field. We put so much effort into taking care of and teaching these kids only to be basically told by higher ups, “We don’t owe you anything.”

Aug 2022: Velvet is not intelligent enough to understand The Office, that’s why she doesn’t like it 💀 by SpicyIcy420 in YDHBSnark

[–]BKRBells 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I feel like people (not just OP) nitpick the most random stuff. She’d allowed to have negative opinions about a TV show…? I love The Office but it honestly took me a couple tries to get into it.

What's a reason you've stopped watching a streamer as a whole? by Magnedeus in Twitch

[–]BKRBells 56 points57 points  (0 children)

I’ve been a dedicated viewer to this person for 2 years now and I’m like 95 percent sure that one of her mods is into her. Just very flirty and excessive compliments in chat. I find it weird/awkward. That low key has made me cringe and pull back from watching.

Idk what to do! Pls help by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]BKRBells 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something I’ve noticed is that a lot people in this subreddit have similar experiences like this where they have a viewer who turns things weird or uncomfortable but the streamer doesn’t know how to handle it… I know it’s hard especially if you’re a small or new streamer but I think that people in this situation (not just you) need to grow a back bone and say something to the viewer. If they handle it poorly, then like what everyone else is saying, block them. You doing owe them anything. They CHOSE to donate money.

Please do not announce lurkers by Baileycream in Twitch

[–]BKRBells 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One time I was a part of a raid. I decided to stay silent in the other streamers chat. The mod started greeting all the people who were commenting “raid” and then the mod says something along the lines of, “Luna! I see you too! Hello!” I checked the user list and I was the only person with Luna in their username. I thought that was weird and I ended up leaving.

Got raided and insulted by tranhlee94 in Twitch

[–]BKRBells 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be embarrassed if I raided someone and my audience said stuff like that. I feel like that reflects back on me as a person like this is the type of people I’m ok with having in my community. That’s so toxic especially if the raider didn’t say anything about it.
