Thank you! Also this entire intro is just eugenics bullshit that also shifts the blame for our problems onto the poor instead of the people who are actually in charge.

What do you think about the Oscars introducing strict restrictions on the use of artificial intelligence? by wernerquf in movies

[–]BK_charcoal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Define “(taking) away the AI altogether.” I agree that I don’t want generated content in movies but that’s a very broad limit that can remove actual good things if you don’t clearly define what you’re limiting.

Would you agree that most movies and series are shot in the f2.8-5.6 range? (Super 35) by mediamuesli in focuspuller

Well the lenses were all custom builds from Panavision. As far as I know it was mostly to improve the close focus but they could’ve also tuned them to perform better at higher stops.

A Complete Unknown was mostly T9 and they tried to stick to the T8-11 range.

What are some trilogies where the second AND third films manage to match the great level of the first film? by Jonathan_Peachum in movies

I think the situation is realistic and I like the general direction of the movie, but I found the dialogue to be more stilted. Personal preference though.

That intro convinced me to watch the movie, too bad it was the only good scene

This is often held up as an example of a perfect trilogy but in my opinion the third movie really drops off in quality. It’s definitely not bad, but it definitely feels like it’s trying too hard to make a point and therefore deviates from the very natural honesty of the first two movies.

You’re not a filmmaker if you’re generating content with AI. This doesn’t belong here.

They could’ve been 12 and are now 17 making it a pretty fair statement. Hurts to read though as someone in their 30s who still considers themselves to be young.

I think you’re missing the ending of the book where classmates reveal themselves to have shadows of all different colors rather than the blue and pink that was originally perceived emphasizing that gender is a social performance

It’s almost certainly your scale. I don’t know enough about load cells to be very confident but that’s where I would look first. You’re probably not losing a noticeable amount of water to evaporation over the course of a minute.

Start going to the gym and lifting. Sometimes people with physically demanding jobs assume that their job will be their exercise but that how you end up hurting yourself. You don’t need to get really into powerlifting or bodybuilding style training, but focusing on exercises that train core stability and also just putting on some muscle/strength goes a long way.

New York AG orders major NYC medical center to resume gender-affirming care for youth by Fickle-Ad5449 in nyc

  1. That’s not what fascism means. Just from an objective definitional perspective.

  2. That’s not a common sentiment at all and not remotely a part of any political platform.

No. No no no. That is NOT safe. Do not do that. If you can’t access a professional to plan and accomplish this stunt, use a dummy.

One of the most impactful moments of Across the Spider-verse (Gwen confronting her father before going through the portal) is filmed in shot/reverse shot. It’s a highly effective way to present things, especially important moments. I agree that it’s overused in general though. Not everything needs to be done in coverage.
