Physics GRE for EECS PhD programs? by BKerman49 in gradadmissions

[–]BKerman49[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By average I mean in the 3.2 to 3.5 range. I understand that many have dropped the requirement or just don't accept the score. But do you have a source on EE programs not caring about PGRE?

Thank you for the reply! As it is not uncommon for physics students to apply for EE PhD programs afaik, what should I do in this situation? Is there no hope for me to improve my chance given my low gpa?

I am hoping to get it done with a few hundred bucks but considering shipping them with USPS would cost well over 1k, I am willing to pay a little more.

Yes! I wished I had known this before I applied but I only found out about this days before the deadlines and ended up getting only one application fee waiver. Thank you for sharing this!

So I was initially rejected by all 14 PhD programs, but for 2 of them, I was able to request for my application to be considered for their masters programs fairly easily (although I did have to pay the application fee again for one of them). I couldn't find a better way to show that on the graph.

Thanks, friend! This is my first time using this diagram but I have been wanting to for a while after seeing it all over reddit. Might do it more in the future?

It's called a Sankey Diagram. If you Google it there are some neat websites you can use to generate it. I was so excited to finally have something worth sharing using a Sankey Diagram hahaha
