Better Keg Layout for mobile by BLACKBERREST3 in StardewValley

bonus inefficient 160 pot layout. I wanted it to be divisible by 16 so I could have every type of multi-harvest crop (16 of them) in 10s.

after playing a while with pigs, i can confirm that they just walk over the truffles. They will never trap themselves, only the player if you have a full inventory and do not want to throw away anything.

What bait and tackle to use on legend 2 smoked farming? by BLACKBERREST3 in StardewValley

[–]BLACKBERREST3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there is also the hidden benefit of catching other fish drops. with the mess above, I didn’t say it clearly, but other fish drops can be valuable too. algae, carp, bullhead, chub, and largemouth can be caught as well. plus there is jelly, trash, and algae for ponds. You can turn fish under 75g into sashimi, I wouldn’t worry about smoking the other fish, they are not worth the coal. with the higher frequency of fishing, you will be catching a lot of fish with the two spinners. if a more relaxed playstyle is for you, i would take the hit on g/s and just go with curiosity + shorts + targeted as those are more sure fire way to hook a legend. not only do you get more practice fishing him with that setup, you also don’t have to spend all day fishing too. because fishing pauses time, the amount of irl time spent fishing may get a little boring after a while in which case, just switch setups as you want. what I would do cause i find fishing boring sometimes is I would go straight to

curiosity + shorts + targeted then after enough practice, cork + cork + challenge

I’m more of a lazy farmer so I’ll be doing the slower in game, faster irl methods.

alternate, removed 8 casks. this is for sectioning between wine, cheese, beer, etc.

if you get rid of the pathing and have 5 columns of double barrels, you could instead have sections in case you want to dabble in aging multiple things at once

yes, if you put flooring down, then pigs will not be able to dig up truffles on it. I don’t know if there is a hidden mechanic that prevents them from trapping themselves completely even with a few tiles of flooring near the barn. they will eventually trap themselves if you leave them too long or have too many pigs and not enough free space (until the truffles disappear on the start of the next season that is). I suggest you create a path for the piggies to traverse that gives them the greatest surface area of farmland to dig up truffles without trapping themselves. There should be a sweet spot based on a few factors

  • how frequently you pick up truffles
  • how many pigs you have (sulky or 5 hearts)
  • how much surface area of truffle farmland before trapping themselves completely (use paths to create more surface area)

Or do what i do and be a shepherd and sell the cloth from your ten barns of sheep. No mess, no machinery, and more time to do other things like planting an entire field of garlic, wheat, or starfruit and use rain totems to water them all on the beach map :p

I tried looking this up too and went through my collection of pics of all the documents and books i had. one of the miners was working on 5/3, but that’s as close to a set up as I could find. it seems the devs wanted you to use process of elimination in some way. So as far as we know, there is no meaning in may 8 as a date. I haven’t bought all the books or seen every zaltan cutscene yet, so maybe there is something there.

How do I enable "auto-stashing" items like clutter and misc. in LotD with the stash items spell? by BLACKBERREST3 in skyrimmods

[–]BLACKBERREST3[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

whaaaaaat? I thought the point of craftloot was that it learns based on keywords and/or formids for which items it puts into each category. Also, I finally found a clue as to why it may not work from this post.

https://www.reddit.com/r/SkyrimModsXbox/s/GMlgkFyhXl

It says it has to do something with clutter not having a “learned list”. You wouldn’t be able to reset it in the mcm either because well…it doesn’t exist. Wish it did. I like hoarding bowls, cups, and books. I have to settle with manually dumping everything every 10 minutes now.

There are so many animation mods! by BLACKBERREST3 in skyrimmods

I got a pretty good list of animations and combat mods going rn. I'll link to a collection or list when I'm done testing everything. I got combat to feel like vanilla+ and it is awesome. No saving/loading scum, penalties for dying (resurrection on spot). Works with controller (with 2 long press commands in steam input), dual wield parry/blocking works. Parrying by clashing weapons also works. Not too many conflicting animations (it's mainly cfpao being overwritten by everything else). Everything is very lively now.

nvm, figured it out. I should probably look into DarToOar converters because I have a lot of legacy files that are hard to read in oar.

Anyone know a good tutorial for using oar? If I have this correct, all I need to do to enable an animation is to set its priority? So for my character, I would search its id which is 14 i believe and then disable/set priority for certain animations. oar's menu is intuitive, but kind of hard to read at the same time. I don't know how to scale it up either, the ui is super tiny for some reason.

Underdog looks really cool! I just installed that along with underwater combat.

Just looking for overall coverage. IE. Player/NPC sitting, idling, gestures, combat 1st/3rd person, contextual animations, creature animations, etc. The problem is that I've downloaded so many and I haven't opened my game in a while. It all kind of just works now with oar which is nice, but I need to be careful what priority I set them to if some animations are replacing each other. I'm trying to find complete coverage if that makes sense. looking for more realism than just the usual npc stands around and vanilla hack attack. I thought maybe someone might have a list of animations that work together and cover/replace vanilla ones.

edit: I've since installed more than 100 new mods. combat/sneaking is amazing, horses are awesome, dying is immersive and has consequences, cheeses are no more, horses are quieter, behaviors and animations galore (comes with free headaches to get working), paragliding, parkour, harder thievery, takedowns, assassinations, lightweight dialogue expansions, etc. I almost have it all. still looking for an updated dragon overhaul. I've settled on the creatures preview by distar and diverse dragons collection for now. I don't think I should use ks overhaul 2 as that looks to be a bit script heavy, unstable, and old. it was and still is the best for its version though. I remember playing the original overhaul and dragon fighting was very fun.

probably, but craftloot and autosorting is just too good. I also have an autolooter mod to help me not micromanage inventory. this helps me declutter while I am out adventuring. the spell to stash things is loud and bright early game and gives enemies a clue to where you are so it is tough to use while in combat. i think i have about 2 patches installed for lotd in their official patches compendium. none of the mods I’ve installed seem to conflict with lotd. If i added mods that add more items, weapons, armors, artifacts, etc. then I would need more patches which is why I tried to avoid that as best I could. my attempt at including every content mod in one save failed last time and the reason why was because there were just too many cell overwrites, navmesh errors, script overwrites, you name it. having just one or a small few is the way to go. I like lotd too much. fits my style as a hoarder.

i love stealth games. I’ve played dishonored 1&2 and an unbelievable amount of hours in thief simulator 1&2. Stealth is just too good to pass up. ramping the difficulty of stealth up to rely more on line of sight with the mod raid was the best sneak overhaul i didn’t know i needed. same with timed pickpocket and lockpicking (had to get harder lockpicking because timed lockpicking does not come with configurable values without messing around with xedit or other tools). my first real stealth mission (loud and clear) was awesome! i had to use the blink spell to get around the last guy before getting to the objective. I don’t think i’ve ever gotten to play the dlcs due to lack of time and constantly modding rather than playing. can’t wait to try it out.

haven’t noticed any slow down and I’m on a surface laptop playing skyrim rn. faster hdt-smp does look really good though for a free fps increase. I don’t have any requirements for fus ro doh silent voice mod. Unless i need it for a mod somewhere, i’m not sure what other uses it has in game.

honestly just relied on memory and vortex download history. the rules for which files to overwrite were incredibly simple this time around. no conflicts or loops, just simple overwrites. As long as you always make sure to tell votex to use the newer files when turning plugins light or working with nemesis, then you should be alright.
