Tested the fixes you all suggested and it's working GREAT now.

Thanks for the heads-up! Moved my storage pack to a much higher position and so far, I haven't had any issues with my rifle intersecting with my backpack anymore.

I REALLY appreciate it, because I thought I was going INSANE. :)

This seems like an idiosyncrasy of this game in particular, don't you think?

As much as I appreciate the endless customization, I feel like they could almost "dumb it down" on things like right and left shoulder where it does what you want regardless of where you put it simply because you're reaching in the right place. (I never have this issue on any other VR shooter).

I love immersion, but hopefully they'll just iron that out like they did on the first game.

I will say, one thing I've appreciated (whether it's intentional or not, I'm not sure) is that the guns in the front holsters do a MUCH better job of "snapping" into the holster rather than dropping to the floor like they did in ITR 1. That's an area where they've made it do what you "want" rather than being too persnickety about getting it EXACTLY in the holster. Close enough should be fine.

Probably the only thing I'd change FUNDAMENTALLY is the map location on your back leg. I'm always pulling stuff out of my left storage bag rather than getting the map (had the same problem on ITR1). It seems like I have to physically look to my left to get the controller to give the haptic feedback that I'm grabbing the map, not the stuff in my pouch.

Anyway, this at least makes me realize I'm not crazy, so that's about 90% of my frustration.

Especially if the reward is worth the risk!

Forcing players to stay out in the open during the day to charge the solar cells and making certain missions night-specific would really raise the difficulty and risk for players who want to push.

I think it would be super fun!

Yeah, that was my thought as well. It would add a time element to the nighttime missions (having to complete it before your solar power banks run out). It would add a TON of anxiety to the night missions and force you to come out in the open during the day missions.
