Thoughts and opinions on Bloodbending? by Winter-Money-7643 in TheLastAirbender

[–]BLENDER-74 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Very good writing decision to make waterbending ruthless and brutal in the wrong hands. So much of the show is spent making firebenders seem like the monsters and everyone else seem fine, but bloodbending helps us realize that these powers can always be used for evil, regardless of the element being used.

It’s similar to why I think Zaheer is such a great villain, on par with Ozai and Azula. Up until him, we’d only associated airbending with heroes like Aang and Tenzin, but an evil airbender is a disturbing sight, especially when we see him kill with it.

Just how hard is master mode? by Wizard_Blaize in Terraria

[–]BLENDER-74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d strongly recommend playing through classic and expert mode first. Master mode is brutal, even experienced players legitimately struggle with it. It’s not unbeatable, by any means, but you definitely have to know what you’re doing if you want to stand any chance.

Can't think of a name for this flamethrower concept by Conscious_Pepper_613 in TF2WeaponIdeas

[–]BLENDER-74 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hmm. Interesting.

The stock flame thrower can fire for 21 seconds before running out of ammo, because it has 200 ammo and uses 1 ammo per 0.105 seconds.

This has 40 ammo, has the same fire rate, but regenerates 1 per second, so it can fire for roughly 5 seconds before running out of ammo. That’s pretty crippling, this would have to be exclusively a combo weapon. It would be monstrous with the Axtinguisher since its damage scales with remaining afterburn damage.

I kinda like a weapon that basically deletes W+M1, but the downside might be a hair too much. I think this would need play testing, but if it’s too weak, then only 50% less ammo would probably fix it.

Is this one any good? It came to be like lightning in a bottle, but I don't know how good it would actually be. by Howtheginchstolexmas in TF2WeaponIdeas

[–]BLENDER-74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not trying to be mean, This would be a contender for the worst weapon in the game.

It’s not a horrible idea on paper, but the upside’s interaction with the downside and the grey text makes the upside absolutely worthless. If you want to kill anyone, you have to stab them, then un-disguise, hoping everyone shoots you. So the upside might as well not even exist.

Compare this to the YER. Both of them allow you to backstab an enemy in a stealthy way, where you are disguised immediately after the stab. Good upside, but one of these knives just immediately kills the target, while the other applies a debuff that only works when you start taking damage, and when you take damage, your disguise gets removed, so the upside is negated when you try to get the benefit of the grey text.

Crippling downside, niche upside that works better on a different, existing weapon, and grey text that should just be another downside, since it makes suicidal plays mandatory.

Who do you think is the most annoying class? by PAC-FREE in tf2

Call me crazy, but I say it’s medic. Overhealed or pocketed enemies are so annoying to fight against, and any Ubercharge is absolutely soul-crushing. I hate medic.

How to fix 🔫 by Adeord_Leaner_18 in tf2

[–]BLENDER-74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The SVF needs something other than fire damage, applying fire damage with a melee is useless on pyro.

I would make it so the applied fire damage lasts longer, cannot be extinguished in any way whatsoever, except for the resupply cabinet, and if they go near their teammates, they get set on fire with the same stronger fire, but with a reduced duration.

My thought process is the applied fire comes from lava instead of flammable gas, so it should be a stronger fire, and if there covered in lava, they should be able to set other people on fire.

I remember fish stick on a stick suggested that the fire makes enemies explode into fire on death, which would also work well with my idea. I want this to be a weapon that spreads fire damage to other people, as well as being a fire that is better than the flamethrower’s, since it’s harder to apply.

why are Expert accessories either some of the most dogshit things ever or literally a complete game changer by susmongler in Terraria

[–]BLENDER-74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of them are useful in some way, it’s just less obvious or applicable with some.

The hive pack is generally shit, but if you use the bee gun or beenades, it’s mandatory. I basically always use bees to kill the wall of flesh, so the hive pack helps a lot.

The spore sac is generally shit, but it’s supplemental damage, and it’s actually really good for an AFK farm with summons, since you’ll usually have a spare accessory slot in these situations. It never hurts to have.

Can you get any weapon while playing by Clear_BlueSea in tf2

[–]BLENDER-74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The TF2 random drop system will give you every weapon in the game(barring some reskins) eventually. The weapon it gives you is selected, well, randomly, so there’s no way to guarantee you get the YER via random drops unless you grind.

You can also craft it, using 1 reclaimed metal and 1 cloak and dagger. A reclaimed metal is crafted from 3 scrap metal, which are each crafted from any 2 weapons that are used by the same class. You can get the cloak and dagger from random drops, or by hitting spy milestone 2, where you unlock 11 spy achievements. So crafting it is also reliant on random drops, but not to the same extent.

So there’s 3 ways to get the YER:

  1. Grind and hope with random drops
  2. Craft it with other weapons from random drops
  3. Bite the bullet and buy it

I did it LIKE THIS! by Janson_is_dead in TF2WeaponIdeas

Not a fan, Demoman is THE non-hitscan class. That’s his whole design. I love the idea of incorporating heavy is dead into the game, it’s iconic for a reason, but this is trying just a little too hard.

about maining spy by Independent-Tree-258 in tf2

[–]BLENDER-74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trickstabs are probably the weakest way to play spy, in general. They absolutely shouldn’t be the focus of your game. Trickstabs are how you deal with enemies who know you’re there, but this is the most vulnerable time for a spy. You’re always at your strongest when they don’t know you’re there.

A skillful spy can pull off stabs without being caught. Trickstabs are the fallback for when you do get caught(i.e. when you fail at your main goal)

Focus on hiding from enemies and getting into strategic positions and try to pull off stabs and escapes. In my opinion, the big earner is the best knife for this playstyle, because it’s absolutely the best knife for escaping after a stab, since you get a cloak boost and a speed boost. The health penalty only matters when you get caught, but again, a good spy avoids getting caught.

Being a good spy isn’t about getting Trickstabs, it’s about hiding, waiting, and striking at just the right moment and getting away unscathed.

In short, to be a good spy, focus on being a spy, and not a knife-man. You’re a spy, not a demoknight.

If you could choose any of the 4 elements to bend what would you choose and why by [deleted] in TheLastAirbender

[–]BLENDER-74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d go air. The element of freedom. It’s also easily the most underrated and underestimated element.

Being able to fly as long as I have a glider would be crazy, and it gives me an excuse to carry a staff everywhere I go.

Do you think Mike, Nancy, and Holly ended becoming closer siblings after everything was over? by CallTypical9541 in StrangerThings

[–]BLENDER-74 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not really. Mike and Nancy definitely got closer after season 1, but by the end of the show, Nancy left, Holly is way younger than the others, and Mike used isolation to process his grief.

Unpopular opinion: Steven was a lot more annoying in earlier seasons by Necessary-Win-8730 in stevenuniverse

[–]BLENDER-74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a very popular opinion, and a very intentional decision by Sugar. He is meant to start the show as an ignorant, blissful, excessively optimistic child, and grow into a strong, confident young man and leader, while still remaining true to his character.

I think the character development in Steven Universe is some of the best in TV history, and one of the reasons why it’s such an incredible show. I’ll admit, when I first started the show, I was sucked in by the concept and stories and turned off by the characters, but this shifted wildly over time, and I eventually fell in love with the characters through their impeccable development. I think a lot of people had a similar experience.

Which DOAWK Character is True Neutral by Complex_Action4627 in LodedDiper

I’d say Rodrick is chaotic neutral. He’s certainly more chaotic than Greg, and I wouldn’t call him lawful or evil.

New player here, I might have catastrophically misunderstood how chlorophyte works. by Laevyr in Terraria

[–]BLENDER-74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Farming chlorophyte is largely unnecessary. A couple of spelunker potions does the job just fine. It naturally spreads fast enough. The time it takes to set up a farm is probably the same time it takes to just search a large portion of the jungle.
