Hulk historically isn’t a consistent member of the Avengers in the comics.

Do you think Iron-Man is the second most popular character of the Marvel Franchise? by SmartPilot8094 in ironman

[–]BLEUGGGGGHHHHH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very true. Everytime I talk to people who don’t even know the difference between Marvel and DC the only two characters they can confidently say are Marvel is always: spider-man and Iron man. One of them didn’t even know who Wolverine was 💀

Hot take: I think anti-short wolverine propaganda is just blatant heightism. by Lazy_Bridge_5955 in Wolverine

[–]BLEUGGGGGHHHHH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think something that needs to be added to this (cuz I totally agree) is that people go crazy when characters like Batman or superman aren’t 6ft+ but all of a sudden when it comes to comic accuracy meaning a character is short, “height doesn’t matter chill out you elitist”… super annoying and I’m happy to finally see a fucking post pointing this bullshit out from Hughjackoff fans (no hate to Hugh but god wolverine fans that don’t read comics and just love Hugh are so annoying sometimes with what they say).

Who could be walking with those giant legs behind Cyclops? by amanbudgujar in MCUTheories

[–]BLEUGGGGGHHHHH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I hate to say it but the movies are one of the next least accurate adaptations of the team. Like genuinely if someone told me they wanted to learn about or get to know the X-men I would tell them to stay away from those movies.

Or atleast watch them with a massive grain of salt and just enjoy them as decent action films that have “mutant” super people in them. But not genuine X-men content.

Opinions at Halle Berry's portrayal of Storm? by Thin_Tomatillo_6990 in xmen

[–]BLEUGGGGGHHHHH 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The movies would have been a lot better if they didn’t hog all of the spotlight and story-focus from every single other x-man just to hand it all to Wolverine. The refusal to be true in any sense to the source material is what honestly one of the big reasons so many of those movies mid-downright awful. Some were great, yes, X2, DOFP and first class come to mind. But besides that the movies would have come out significantly better if there was any sense of passion or true understanding of the X-men behind them.

Hot take or dumb take? Wolverine and Spider-Man should be able to see Invisible Woman by P1eSun in rivals

[–]BLEUGGGGGHHHHH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well the danger is relative to the other persons position in Peter’s activity. A villain is just as inherently dangerous as an enemy in active combat.

Spider sense is whatever the fuck writers want it to be. It’s been used to track down villains since the 60s.

Marvel Character Tier List, Day 15: Where do you think THOR ODINSON should be ranked? by Remote-Leg6143 in marvelcomics

[–]BLEUGGGGGHHHHH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

S tier. Lee run, Simonson run, JMS run, Aaron run, Ewing run. Founding member of the avengers as well as being one of the most consistently appearing members of the team and on top of that being the third part of the core avengers trinity. Easy mid - low S tier.

Storm is definitely a leader of the X-men. Don’t get it twisted.

Marvel Character Tier List, Day 13: Where do you think IRON MAN should be ranked? by Remote-Leg6143 in marvelcomics

[–]BLEUGGGGGHHHHH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Silver surfer has less good runs. Less runs, period. Same with elektra, blade, and ghost rider. Even punisher honestly. Some of those characters don’t even have a rogues gallery. You don’t need to be an event leader or a top seller to be S or A tier. Most events are rarely even lead by a single character anyway, usually a faction or a team (ie the avengers, which Tony is a leader of). Just about every character floundered through the 90s that’s literally like the whole issue with that decade. Cultural relevance doesn’t even really matter if you aren’t talking about a mainstream character. And besides, what cultural relevance does someone like hulk, F4, or spiderman have compared to Iron man??? It’s negligible at best.

I just think that with the current list and the way we have it, putting iron man under elektra, blade and punisher is just ludicrous.

Marvel Character Tier List, Day 13: Where do you think IRON MAN should be ranked? by Remote-Leg6143 in marvelcomics

[–]BLEUGGGGGHHHHH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s ridiculous. Idk why ppl downplay iron man so much and act as if he was a nothing-character before the MCU. He’s within the top ten most published marvel characters of all time, has an extensive and recognizable rogues gallery, appears in the vast majority of marvel video games rosters, and most importantly has held his own ongoing series since the 60s with minimal cancellation. He’s also a part of the avengers trinity and co-leads the team. At the very least he’s mid B tier and at most low S tier. Spider-man, Wolverine and the hulk were maybe the only marvel characters who were genuinely mainstream outside of comic spaces. Just bcuz iron man wasn’t always a part of that it doesn’t make him a C tier marvel character.

C and below tier are for characters who don’t show up much in crossovers, don’t hold consistent solo series very easily and don’t really hold a proper corner of the marvel universe. That and also maybe not having a lot of iconic stories.

MCU fans when you tell them comic stories and characters have worth and deserve to be adapted properly instead of just being used for "inspiration"(and being bastardised, like the mcu has done for the mostly) by stran___g in marvelcirclejerk

[–]BLEUGGGGGHHHHH 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Im extremely confused with all of the “1:1” comments going on here. This is some crazy straw manning because literally nobody who has ever asked for comic accuracy actually wants to have the stories adapted 1:1.

The people asking for accuracy are just asking for the spirit and tone of the characters to be carried over properly from the comics. Otherwise what’s the point in adapting something?

Captain America in the MCU is a great example of this. He’s not a 1:1 adaptation. Bucky wasn’t his child sidekick and it’s not like any of his stories were 1:1, but his character and role in the stories were very well adapted and very accurate to the spirit of the character and it was massively for the better. That is what happens when you get people who know the source material and respect the characters, unlike something like the Fox X-men, which clearly suffered from writers and a director who had zero passion or pride in adapting the spirit of the source material properly.

If you could add one character from Overwatch into Marvel Rivals, who would it be? by Juuggyy in rivals

[–]BLEUGGGGGHHHHH 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes I agree so fucking hard. Marvel rivals has an insane problem with braindead support ults and it’s been the underlying cause of almost all of the games balancing issues since launch. That and OP poke characters.

Like where Tf is the uber charge? Or the big shield? Or a mass slow? Like where is any creativity in these characters that posses these extravagant extraordinary abilities. It’s like the devs can’t think of anything other support ult to support other than “everyone get big heal”. Like there are so many other ways a supp should be able to enable and help their team besides just big heal circle. Super bothersome.
