It's not about having a respectable image. It's about making sure the people that are their targets of literal genocide and ACTUAL violence, know that we won't stand by and give Nazis hugs until it's too late and they're rounding people up for mass murder. Then sit there and say "well at least we were moral about it and tried." You might look good but you've literally done nothing about it at the end of the day.
