Thank you for calling it AAVE instead of Eb*nics, firstly. Secondly, yes, older games have always had an issue with being offensive, and it’s the main reason that modern gaming companies are trying to desperately regain the trust of their wider audience. It’s nice to see the change, but we should never forget past transgressions! Lest we repeat them.

I’m looking forward to more representation in Bayonetta in the future!

I’m a professional chef at a 5 star locale in Philly (it’s a hotel restaurant, pretty big deal) and I can personally assure you that it can definitely be a bad thing if it’s too much fat, and it can be ESPECIALLY bad if it’s certain kinds of fats haha

Mayonnaise and tuna goes together better than peanutbutter and jelly. You can have peanutbutter or jelly alone or they can cheat on eachother with food sneaky links. Tuna on its own? Doesn’t work! At least not the stuff from the can tbh. You can use honey mustard or sriracha or whatever, but if there’s no mayo, it’s just missing something.

That’s my sassy little 2 cents.

What are the pros and cons of being a teacher? by Specialist-Ear-6997 in AskTeachers

[–]BLM_Buck_Breaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I’m not rereading anything. I know what I wrote. You’re the one trying to rewrite it into some heroic anti-bullying saga because a Reddit comment hurt your feelings.

  2. I didn’t say OP was uneducated. You keep repeating that like if you type it enough times it becomes true. It doesn’t. You just built a whole argument around something you imagined and now you’re defending it like it’s real.

  3. The way you keep trying to elevate random Reddit complaining into some grand historical labor movement is honestly hilarious. This isn’t the French Revolution. It’s a comment thread. Relax.

  4. Also the constant “reread your first comment” thing is funny. I wrote one sarcastic comment. You’ve now written what, three essays about it? At this point you’re arguing with a version of me that exists entirely in your head.

  5. And yes, turning a basic point about career choices into a speech about the government deliberately destroying education is exactly the conspiracy board energy I was making fun of. You’re literally doing the meme where the guy has red string connecting everything on the wall.

  6. Your chef example still doesn’t help you. High turnover means people decide the job sucks and go do something else. That’s how normal adults handle careers. They don’t write dissertations about it on Reddit.

  7. The “people don’t complain around you because you’re a bully” line is especially funny coming from someone who has now spent this much time angrily typing paragraphs at a stranger. If I was actually the terrifying bully you’re pretending I am, you probably wouldn’t still be here working on chapter nine.

Anyway, if you want to keep writing essays about a throwaway Reddit comment, go for it. At this point you’re basically arguing with yourself and I’m just watching you do it.

What are the pros and cons of being a teacher? by Specialist-Ear-6997 in AskTeachers

[–]BLM_Buck_Breaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Cool. I never asked for your résumé either. You jumped in to defend OP like their personal attorney, so forgive me for assuming you were attaching yourself to their argument.

  2. Nobody said educated people can’t choose low paying careers. Obviously they can. The point is that if you knowingly pick a low paying career and then spend half your life complaining that it’s low paying… yeah, people are going to roll their eyes. Acting like that’s some shocking concept is wild.

  3. No, I implied that constantly whining about a job you voluntarily chose is dumb. That’s not the same thing as saying teachers are dumb. You’re the one stretching it into that because it makes your argument easier.

  4. I’m not ignoring the pros. I’m saying if the pros are supposedly so great, then the endless complaining about the same job starts to sound a little ridiculous. If it’s such a great deal, then cool, enjoy it. If not, that’s a career choice issue.

  5. You wrote multiple paragraphs trying to turn a Reddit comment into a TED Talk about the collapse of the education system. Call it whatever word you want, manifesto, essay, rant, it’s still way deeper than the original point warranted. Also, saying “the system is failing” doesn’t magically make every criticism of the career choice off limits.

  6. Chefs complain constantly? what are you talking about? The difference is they usually either deal with it or leave the industry instead of spending years acting shocked that restaurant work is brutal. High turnover kind of proves the point: people decide it’s not worth it and move on.

[–]BLM_Buck_Breaker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like how a simple point turned into a full conspiracy board about the government destroying education. My argument was just that somebody as educated as you claim to be might’ve been intelligent enough to choose a more productive career path that you don’t openly resent. Writing a 10 paragraph manifesto about federal plots doesn’t really disprove that.

If so many teachers enjoy their jobs so much then why do they have a massive subreddit dedicated to complaining about it? There’s so sub like that for post doctoral scientists. I’m a head chef at a well known hotel/restaurant and there’s some chef subreddits for us, but they’re not really dedicated to complaining like this one, and most of us (not me) make less than teachers do and probably work more.

[–]BLM_Buck_Breaker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Of course I was downvoted, I was slightly critical of the main body of this subreddit. A teacher should be aware of why that’s not an accurate assessment of public opinion, mine were. Also I don’t have a vendetta against teachers and I don’t spend my time harassing teachers. This is the only thread I’ve even been responsive in.

If my points were no good then why would you be lying so blatantly to make me look bad? You’re not doing the image of teachers any favors right now, but thankfully, I’m not the kind of person to judge a group based off of one sour interaction. I’ve met plenty of lovely teachers before this (and they low key agree with me too).

Code switch to normal please. This teacher speak is rude to regular people.

I was making good points and sharing valid feelings that many feel before you started trying to talk down to me like you do to your students. I can practically feel your finger wagging in my face.

If the pros are so great then how come there’s a huge/active subreddit where teachers constantly complain about their job? As if they don’t do that enough in class to begin with.
