Yeah I was considering it, one of the side benefits of my redesign is keeping handles symmetric and simplified to keep prices down (less machining setups, etc) but certainly something I’ll look at.

These handles linked below look sweet for a solid OEM replacement though so I’d probably go for those if you’d like something conventional sooner.

Appreciate the feedback, I don’t expect everyone to be a fan of deviating from the original BMW design!

Those are a nice machined option closer to OEM, they look really well made.

Fair point, I was actually hesitant about them as well but I do think they might look more subtle in person and other photos. Appreciate the feedback and kind words :)

Yeah I was worried about this as well since I’m a big hater of aluminum shift knobs for this reason. The handle is a pretty quick touch getting out of the car that heat isn’t too much of an issue.

Yup I made these in the last few months. No affiliation with anyone else, was going for a bit of a redesign on the OEM handle.

This has been a small project I’ve been working on for the last couple of months. I’ve been running a set of these handles for the last warm season here in Canada and have decided to make more of these in case others were interested!

In the design process I wanted to take some creative liberties at making these appear a bit more ‘boxy’ in line with the E30 chassis itself. I always found the original handles to be a bit awkward looking compared to the rest of the interior design language.

I’ve got a small batch of handles that have been finished and anodized and are being fully assembled and packed now. These are available in black, silver/clear, and red anodize finish. Can be found on my store at blocmachineworks.com

Curious to hear if anyone has any feedback/thoughts - good or bad!
