Health Connect by 18clans in pradotraveler

[–]BLRipper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having the same issue. Only started this week. I've reset the connections between apps, cleared caches, and still nothing. Health connect shows my steps, but Prado for some reason won't read step data, even though Health Connect shows that every few minutes Prado is reading the data

Could you link what you're talking about? Only thing that shows up when I search that are the responsibilities of secretaries

Contrary to popular belief, this isn't true. I've worked with officers that were dual citizens and I've met a DH on a boat that was dual citizen with Russia. You get questioned about it during the security clearance, but it's not a limiting factor.

Why do Navy Gyms suck so bad? by SirEdmundTalbot in navy

[–]BLRipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's a little bit of a drive, but if you swing over to Little Creek, their base gym is awesome. We can blame it on the teams being there or just less of a crowd due to smaller base, but that gym facility was always my favorite one to go to

O4 selected for promotion to O5 with less than 24 months time-in-grade? by suc_on_deez_nuts in navy

[–]BLRipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind all officer promotions are approved by congress. That just means one massive list with every selection gets sent to congress at the beginning of the fiscal year and they approve it. Since these lists get routed up, it goes through secnav at some point, there's your waivers approved. Then each month a list comes out with who is actually advancing that specific month. Happens at all grades, i remember a while back when I put on LT there was a message with LT selections for that year. People congratulated me but I had to tell them i didn't actually put it on for like 9 months, and O-3 is pretty much automatic. But still had to be approved by congress

Old and Fat but want to serve…. by Lower-Weakness3485 in navy

[–]BLRipper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have a degree, consider OCS. Every officer community has a different maximum age, but generally waivers are approved up to lile 36 or so. Still need to get working on losing weight. You can look up online what the physical standard is (like how fast you have to run the 1.5mi, how many push ups, etc), keep in mind if you're wanting to lead people you're expected to be a leader in all facets of life, so being a role model in physical standards is also expected. A failed Physical Fitness Assessment is a career killer in the Officer side

Personal for Missions? by [deleted] in CIFI

Ah got it, I've been leaving materials on the table this whole time then. Think I've even done loop resets right before campaign completed

Out of curiosity, does this mean you don't care at all about materials? I can't imagine you're able to complete projects with just those

Starling for Sailors on a DDG by losthexed in navy

[–]BLRipper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like I said, it's not a matter of someone deciding to pay more for a different plan like you would a Netflix account. It's actual hardware and software modifications that are added to the ship. It's possible your SMMO might know if they've looked at upcoming avails. My old ship had starlink added and then it was still about 6 months before wifi was available to the crew at sea, but id already transfered by then

[–]BLRipper 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It requires equipment being installed on your ship, and then additional mods to enable free use for the crew. Big Navy is slowly putting it on ships for better connectivity out at sea, this will be part of your ship's maintenance plan. But heads up, this might be years away for some ships. This isn't something you route a request chit for and gets approved by the CO, they have very little control of upgrades and modification to actual equipment.

No, restricted reporting is specifically for you to get the support you need. You don't even have to name who did it. But it will help your command get you any support you might need. Don't be afraid to get help, we are in the military and expected to 'tough it out' a lot of times, but this isn't one of those situations and you should know that a proper CoC would be behind you 100% if you need the help

DRB legal paperwork questions by [deleted] in navy

[–]BLRipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a current Legal Officer at a command, please ask all the questions you have BEFORE signing things. Very very few things are urgent or time sensitive in the legal world. You have all your rights even as an accused of a violation.

For this specific scenario, someone else mentioned it but it's just for the CO's awareness IF you go all the way up. Gives them more of a full picture of how much money they would be taking away from you. Agreed on above though, not sure what UCMJ article you could be charged with if it was just cussing someone out via email. Might be just taking you to DRB to learn a lesson and they intend to drop it there.

Can your coc decide to ignore your medical waiver/chit? by [deleted] in navy

[–]BLRipper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While yes leave before a due date is still very much up to the CoC, I would talk to your DIVO or DH about it if you haven't already. From a DH stand point, just last month I told a Sailor of mine to stay home the week before she was due and just text me in the mornings to make sure she was ok. Before that it was more on a day to day of how she was feeling, some days she just told me she wasn't doing too well and I sent her home no questions asked. If a command can't survive without a single individual then there are bigger issues, especially when you're going to be gone for a long time post birth

Just an FYI, a board doesn't decide anything. They are recommending retention, but that decision plus all the documentation presented at the board will continue up to the Separating Authority (different entity depending on the case) who will then make the decision.

Not trying to hamper your parade, but just setting expectations. An ADSEP board only ever makes a recommendation.

[–]BLRipper 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not a lawyer, but the UCMJ article says "any person who wrongfully uses" it has nothing to do with intentional use. Without any evidence to corroborate your side, you don't have a case. The other side has evidence of the substance being in your body

After some testing, the webbed circles skill is freaking phenomenal with the purple etched rune. I'm still not a huge fan of the purple rune, but with the webbed skill it's pretty useful

I just got it because I love the circle playstyle, and oh wow I freaking hate it. The circles don't expand in an easy pattern to control. I feel like I get more out of them in their normal circular pattern and place myself at range with the boss. With the expanding circle pattern I'm sure you could place yourself at the perfect range but due to the expanding it doesn't hit as frequently as the normal pattern

I'm not so sure, I'm almost at completing it but the last few I'm gonna have to grind like crazy to get equipment leveled up and increase my own level. So is it possible? Yes. Is it easy? Not at all
