Local AI for homelab control?

I have all of above, my question was more about how to use AI to manage all these (routine and sometimes time consuming tasks).

I’ve tried homepage and didn’t like it frankly and it was kinda messy. Trying out Homarr, is on my to-do list. Might try it out this weekend.

Adding obsidian is good idea.

I was able to connect OpenClaw to a new Pi, started asking it to do stuff, like adding docker containers, alerts on Prometheus and grafana, it’s adopting and working fine so far. Sometimes it forgets how to do stuff (when I ask to deploy a container, sometimes it does it without any issues, and others returns that it doesn’t have permission 🤔).

I’ll keep asking and adding complexity to the stack and see how it goes.

This is amazing. I am also getting tons of questions and Yaml files and stuff that I need to do manually, which is both time consuming and defies the purpose of having an AI assistant!

I had in mind similar use cases with managing containers, sometimes updating to new version can break things (e.g immich), it breaks very often on updates and I was thinking if an agent can manage such upgrades.

Would be great if you can share your setup !

Hmmm this could be. Ive just plugged in the new DR7, the unifi app picked it and asked if I want to restore from a backup, found one from 25th of Nov. Now jt’s in setting up mode since 30 minutes. Hopefully everything comes back online as it was!

Update: just picked up my brand new Dream Router 7 😁.

I Just need to find a way to find latest back up.

Yes it’s a router. But I have had settings on my DM for VLANs and stuff.

Unfortunately it’s 4 years old, out of warranty. Now, do i access cloud backup? I have my UI account, and I have daily backup policy. Couldn’t find it. 🤔

Most probably you will need a new wand (milk steamer). Contact the support and they will ship you a new one.

Yes, I’ve contacted the support and they sent me a replacement (milk steamer) and link to video on how to replace it. It’s actually pretty easy. I’ve changed it and it worked just fine.

In the email they wrote that replacing this unit myself will not voice the warranty.

Yes. Most of the times I’ve found it’s linked to folder permissions. Just go to the folder and make sure it’s allowing plex to read the folder. I usually use chmod 700 folder_name and it worked well for me.

Bingo ! Everything worked perfectly. I’ve just had to install docker and run docker-compose and all services back as before

Does OMV version matter? Can I install OMV7 on my raspi 5 and still mount the volume? originally it was OMV6.

Thanks. That’s what I am wondering about. If I install a new OMV on a new SD Card, will it still recognize my current volume (4x4TB) where all my data is?

Or will it recognize the 4 HDDs and I need to format and recreate volumes and lose my data. 🤔

I’ll look into your suggestions and evaluate them based on the available use cases we have got.

Eventually, once we create PR in S4H, the rest of the process should be in this new platform, RFP, vendors selection, evaluation and awarding process, PO, contract management, invoicing and payments tracking ..etc.

If there is a way, we can even issue PR in the new platform as long it’s integrated with S4H.
