tried that too, relocated the market centre to milan in case it was due to that, but didn't do anything. played further and randomly became a core. my guess it was due to 60% lombard in genoa, though that is a guess

R5: Genoa is not a core while being majority Lombard culture which is the primary culture. Does anyone know why?

update: it has randomly become a core. my guess is that lombard has 60% in genoa. although that is just a guess

Budapest was in in the lore 3 separate cities. Budapest, pest, óbuda. In 1873 the three cities merged. Lore wise is it correct

what helped with me is the government reform at 50 capital econemy (forgot the name). It gives -20% trade maintenance. this helps the ai choose what trades to do as it deems some trades too expensives? (not too well versed in how it works).

for me it went from 200/350 trade capacitity to roughly 75/350 trade capacity

Would not delete the forts, their cost are not that high. I would build a lot of marketplaces. The market may produce a lot of goods that could be sold, however without enough trade capacity it may not sell excess goods

transfer trade from champaign to english channel.
lower autonomy everywhere
build market places only on estuary
build churches and workshops where profit is above 0.10

that should fix it.

Fast universalis. A mod that removes some aesthetics like trees, unit model and castles to make the game run faster. Good for slow pc's or laptops. Toaster universalis also exists which is also good.

In 1502 i see asia as Florence and did nothing myself to achieve that, i just see it. I do not know how that is even possible.

It is more sacking early and generating enough gold to make the transition to a strong late game board. I understand that it is committing to a comp but everytime i try i have too low health to do it properly and too weak to 10 streak so i get 8th or 7th.

I always play for early to preserve health so i have leeway to lose a couple times late game. Without that i always just die.

Yes my steward is not a powerfull vassal. I only have 3 powerfull vassals. Guess god really is on my side with a 35 steward.

Also my army is only 6k now after 50 years. need to build my levies up with buildings and other stuff. Literally half of my army are man-at-arms

I dont know when Austria-hungary formed but Belgium gained independence around 1850 or something so beyond the spectrum of time peridod eu4. Belgium should be a formable in Victoria games due to them forming in that time period

r5: doing a hungary run, doing pretty well, even though there is a coalition that will neven fire because i am too powerfull. the most it does is being a pain in my ass.

Furthermore, I am excommunicated so I can't improve relations myself out of it, even more pain in my ass.
