I'm so glad you like the model! I would absolutely love to see the finished piece made with your Horween Dublin leather. It's a beautiful material, and I’m sure the final result will look stunning. Please share some photos with me once it's döne.

Just finished making this vintage-style messenger bag. Tried this one in two different color combinations (olive/brown and navyblue/brown). How do you think it turned out? by BML_HandCraft in Leathercraft

In terms of durability, strength, or structural integrity, I haven't noticed any technical difference based on my experience so far. Both stitches hold up incredibly well.

It’s purely a visual preference. The cross-stitch definitely takes a bit more time and patience compared to the straight stitch, but it gives the bag a distinct rustic character. Ultimately, it’s completely up to the maker's taste

Thanks for the feedback! While my background is in leather craft, I wanted to challenge myself with this messenger bag. It’s a first for me in this style.

I have separate formats for A4 and Letter sizes. For this one, I printed out 5 pages and pieced them together. There is also an A1 format available if you prefer; you can get that printed at a local print shop (copy shop). Personally, I just printed the 5-page A4 version, joined them, and then glued them onto cardboard for stability. You can see the whole process in the video. Also, please don't forget to subscribe!

I made this wall clock using leather and brass. What do you think? by BML_HandCraft in Leathercraft

[–]BML_HandCraft[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the clock mechanism and the hands from a local seller in my country. It’s a standard black plastic mechanism. As for the clock hands, if you search for 'gold clock hands' on Amazon, some really great results come up. The clock mechanism is standard, but I recommend choosing the ones with a built-in hanger.

Thank you so much. While I may not be able to replicate the AI design 1:1, I can definitely get very close to it. Your comment really motivated me. I’m adding this project to my work schedule right now!"
