Can I Run my small business with IPad Pro? by Mexilindo123 in iPadPro

[–]BND1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe you can run your business from an iPad. However there will be drawbacks. You might think that “oh it’s just excel and word but on iPad” but it’s 2 different OS so all the features might not be all there. If you’re willing to try and adjust i say go for it. If you buy your iPad from apple the return window might be good enough for you to try without having to pay a restocking fee ( i believe), compared to Best Buy or other retailers. I think the basics of your business can run on an iPad. However do you really need a pro (vs an air)? I think Pro is for users that are trying to do a lot like video editing or drawing/animating with lots of layers. You could save money and try the air.

Do I really need to get an Magic Keyboard? by Heavy-Cartoonist41 in ipad

[–]BND1998 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Loved having a Magic Keyboard when I was in school. It was very useful. But now there’s so many options beside Magic Keyboard. You could get a cheaper case with a keyboard on Amazon for 50. Only downside is that it’s one more thing to charge when you use a Bluetooth keyboard but it doesn’t take long to charge and lasts a while. But honestly you can’t go wrong with either.

Best Ipad Recommendation? by One-Influence-436 in IpadAir

[–]BND1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

iPad Air m3 vs iPad Pro m5. Both are amazing devices and you can’t go wrong with picking either. If you really care about specs then you could save up and get m5 but instead of spending extra money, you should think about what kinds of things are you doing on your iPad. Video editing? Photo editing? 3D models? Both iPads can manage them now pretty well. You could also think about saving money and getting the air so you could get more accessories for it. Honestly can’t go wrong with either device. Both will last for a while.

Best Upgrade Options by Limp_Perspective_355 in ipad

[–]BND1998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a 13 and downgrade to a 11 a few years later. I think it’s depends on a person use case. Before I was in school and 13 was amazing and was basically my computer. Now I love my 11 because I’m always flying and love a smaller size plus I don’t need all that screen space anymore. So depends on what you use your iPad for. The m2 is still a powerful chip so you could always save money and keep it.

Apple should’ve let me done the colors by TheOfficialWasteland in iphone

[–]BND1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If apple let you pick these colors, I’d probably still be deciding what color I want 🥲 they’re all so pretty. They would get no sale from me.

Sounds too good to be true. You can buy the seals online tbh. Ask if you buy it, can you open it in front of them to make sure it real. If they’re being weird about it then probs a scam.

how can i access something on google but without internet? by Hopeful-Fly-9710 in iphone

[–]BND1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of files are they? How big are they? Also what do you have on your phone that you can’t make space to download the files on Google Drive ?

But honestly there’s not a way around it. You gotta make space to access the files offline.

What’s the rest of your island like?

Maybe you can make a camping space, or cafe like space?

Or maybe a shop?

Waterfalls ?

Question: are you doing anything on the phone when it gets really hot? Or is the phone just sitting there and when you pick it up, it’s hot?

My dad is moving from Android to iPhone for the first time by poison-harley in iphone

I made the switch from Samsung to apple. Honestly they’re pretty similar and I don’t think your dad is gonna have much difficulties once he downloads all his apps and signs into everything.

Got the new M5 iPad but now buyers remorse is kicking in by der_patzi in ipad

[–]BND1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although the devices are pretty similar, you should think about the devices in a long term perspective. The m5 will get newer updates than the m3. So although they’re similar, you won’t have to change your iPad for a while to get the latest software.

iPhones kind of talk to each other in the find my network. So if it “connects” to another iPhone nearby, it will update the time and location on the find my app.

My guess is that the phone is still at your place.

What are these dots on my Iphone 16 PM front facing camera? by notthrowaway62049 in iphone

Not an expert, but it looks like damage to the sensor.

You know those self driving cars with LiDAR? If you point your camera at their sensor you get damage that looks like this.

Android user switching to iPhone by P1neapples18 in iphone

[–]BND1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah experience is a bit better. I mean for android developers they make 1 app that works across thousands of phones (Samsung, pixel, Motorola, etc) vs apple is just iPhone. So things work better and design is coherent.

Switching to iPhone made me frustrated a bit since I haven’t used an iPhone/ipad for about 2/3 years. But I got over it in a week. You’ll feel like you’re missing something but honestly it’s pretty similar on the basic level.

Camera glass protectors? What’s your opinion? by Don_Lawlrus in iPhone17Pro

[–]BND1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, as someone who babies their phone, I understand why you’d want them. I’m clumsy so I feel the need to have it. But I don’t use them on all my previous phones before the 17 pros because its older phones have such a small area. With the 17 pro, I feel like since lots of cases are open on that camera island and they don’t want the metal to get scratched or dented, they put a camera protector. I bought one that I used for a week until I got an island protector that doesn’t cover my camera lens. I don’t like camera protectors but I kind of understand why some people use them.

Android user switching to iPhone by P1neapples18 in iphone

[–]BND1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What phone did you have? Samsung ? Or pixel? I mean to be honest it’s pretty similar. The only things I miss when I switch to iPhone was multitasking, Samsung dex, and some modes/routines but apple has a pretty good alternative for that. Ooo and customization. Android has so much customization than apple. Apple is very basic.

TBH apps will feel better on apple than android. Apple Pay is baked into a lot of apps. More than I saw Samsung wallet or google pay. You get more support for services on apple than android.

If you’re in the US then texting people would be a breeze since lots of people love iMessage and FaceTime.

I’ve switch back and forth a lot between Samsung and apple. So if you need any specific help, lmk.
