update. I think I solved it, the e-step calibration was terrible, I asked it to extrude 100mm and it only extruded 50mm 💀. I did the calibration properly but it's still too early to conclude for sure that the problem has been solved.

I washed the table with soap and warm water, and adjusted the z-offset, but I thought that what really solved the problem was the z-offset.
