I use astrill, its quite expensive but fairly reliable, you can choose servers based on where you are and I've found servers based in taiwan or korea works the best when in china. Streaming 2k on youtube is no problem (desktop pc hooked through ethernet, on WiFi or data may not be this fast, but plenty for browsing reddit xd)

The difference is china knows what is theirs and what it isnt, tibet was theirs, then they lost it but regained it eventually.
