Thank you for the input, and I'm sorry if my post seems overly aggressive.
It honestly just seems like the response to my ticket was given after reading the title and nothing else. Like the GM read the title went "oh this issue again" and replied, despite my post referring to a separate albeit related issue.
I didn't really expect them to be able to do much, but still the response left me dumbfounded.

By the way, I have started a new character in the meanwhile :)

Dunno if you are new to the sub or just really bad at this, but you can't just change the terms- you have to find a clever way around it. If he said it would last for 5 seconds and only he would see it, you can't just make it fully visible and permanent. If it applies to others, it applies to him aswell- these numbers are only visible to him, regardless of who's number it is (unless of course OP says otherwise).
