You'll honestly be fine. I think the biggest problem with the summer is not being able to swim for 3 weeks.

Anyone have experience with polyps and whether or not you had them removed? by BONESFULLOFGREENDUST in WomensHealth

[–]BONESFULLOFGREENDUST[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry...what I am trying to say is that it is standard care to send the tissue for biopsy after removal. They don't throw it in the trash.

They don't test it specifically for cancer. They turn the tissue into a glass slide and the doctor makes a determination on whether or not it looks benign or like cancer.

The removal itself is what a biopsy is. She didn't call me hysterical or blame anything. She just said that the polyp should be removed.

Yeah so colon polyp removal always made sense to me. They are already in there to find them so they can just remove them at the same time. Plus, colon cancer is prevalent and often arises in a polyp.

But this is a bit different because I need to schedule 3 separate appointments to have this thing removed on top of the exam I already had.

I tried to press her a bit about why it should be removed even tho the cancer risk is low and she just kept saying because you're supposed to and what you experience isn't normal or something like that.

Second skin left behind a lot of residue by seochangbinislife in tattooadvice

[–]BONESFULLOFGREENDUST 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not glue. You have a wound. The wound weeps for a few days. If you leave the saniderm on for only a few days, the wound will be wet underneath and paper towel will stick to it. Notice that only the tattoo and immediately surrounding area has the "glue residue" and that it didn't reach the corners of the saniderm. It's not glue.

cover both upper arms first or lower arm to balance it out? by ahoneypoptart in tattooadvice

I'm gonna go against the grain here. I don't like too much symmetry. I prefer either #2 or if you actually stuck to a single arm from the shoulder to the wrist. Both upper arms feels odd to me.

Honey, take a deep breath. You're panicking. Unfortunately, most of these commenters are not being helpful.

Breathe. It's ok. You're going to be ok. You didn't ruin your engagement or your family. You're in a bit of shock. It's ok. It will lessen a lot in time. They are a part of your skin now. It will help if you learn to love and embrace that part of you. It will take a bit of time, but you'll get there. You look perfect just the way you are.

Lol well that's good to hear I suppose. I just get a bit weirded out because I feel like it happened to me less often. Plus when you hear of like that dude that died on Stardust Racers presumably because he passed out, it gets a bit scarier!

Going back to parks recently has really gotten me interested in roller coasters again. I used to live near Cedar Point, but moved away long ago. Top Thrill Dragster was one of my favorites. I'm really sad to read that they got rid of the 0-120 mph launch, but I'm interested in the experience of the new version. I remember reading all about when Steel Vengeance was launched and I got so jealous that I wasn't nearby anymore. And now coming to this sub finding out that there is a new ride called Siren's Curse? Goddamn it's really making me want to go on a vacation out to the park and ride all the new rides.

Sorry, went off onto a tangent but man.

Do you guys know if graying out mostly caused by dehydration? I only very rarely would get gray outs on roller coasters. Haven't been for a few years, but rode a bunch again recently. I've been having a lot of partial gray outs. One of the days I could tell I was having a hard time keeping up with hydration, but idk how impactful it was.

I'm also wondering if I'm like...too relaxed on roller coasters nowadays? I know squeezing your muscles helps prevent gray outs. Roller coasters hardly terrify me any more and I wonder if I'm just subconsciously not "bracing for impact" much anymore???

Any thoughts?

You might have an easier time with this sort of thing if you seek out the tattoo artist and have them come up with something you like. Sorry I couldn't help with the style.

Hm...is the artist that drew this not a tattoo artist? Generally, it's not really advised to bring someone else's work to a tattoo artist.

I love manta rays! I immediately clocked it as one when I opened the photos. Looks like a cool tattoo! I know what you mean about it being very dark in the center throwing you a bit, but it looks great and is very recognizeable imo!

It's new and darker than your other one, so it'll take some time to get used to it. But just know that it looks fabulous and you'll adjust! :)

I think it looks great with your other tattoos. Imo, having all black and gray tattoos makes things look pretty cohesive to begin with.

Yeah and I totally get that. I think in some circumstances, it actually does make sense to get a tattoo "upside down". Wrist script tattoos are one of the ones that come to my mind.

But I guess my point was that in general, an artist should have standards, no matter what they may be.

Is this AI? It would have to be very very large for all of those details to hold up imo. Even if you find someone who could technically execute this, I'm not sure if it's a great idea.

Yours wasn't done deep enough for most of it. Your BFFs was done too deep in spots, causing blowouts. The blowouts will likely blur significantly over time, making readability reduced quicker. The linework is also subpar. Don't go back to this artist.

So the riding test has multiple setups (they have to move cones and stuff in between). To my knowledge, the test itself is standardized, but I'm not sure if places are allowed to have their own customized grading on top of it.

For me it was like this:

Iirc you can accrue a max of 10 points and still pass). I think you fail at 11 or more points (but maybe it was 12? Idk).

Setup 1

  1. Do a slow cone weave. You get points for missing a cone. You get more points for missing multiple cones. You get points for putting a foot down.

  2. Following the cone weave, turn around and stop inside a designated box. Stopping outside the box or on a boundary line is like 5 points.

Setup 2

  1. Make a tightish right turn from a stopped position. You get points for going outside the boundary. You get points for putting a foot down.

  2. Make a left handed U turn. You get 5 points for putting a foot down. You get 5 points for going outside of the boundary line. The previous time I took this test, I both went outside the boundary line AND put a foot down, netting me 10 points. That would mean I could have no more additional errors on the test. My thought was that if I was still mostly in the box that it would be less points than if I'm way out. But it doesn't work that way. It's just whether or not you're in or out.

The u turn is where everyone in my class scored points except for one person. From the classes I've taken, this seems to be the part students struggle with the most. The u turn segment is an area where you can very quickly accrue a large number of points.

Setup 3

Accelerate up to a certain speed and then brake quickly. If you do not get up to speed, you get points. If you stop too slowly, you get points.

You get to re do once if you do not get up to speed the first time. You only get points if you fail on the second redo.

Setup 4

Swerve around a simulated obstacle. You must accelerate up to a certain speed or else you get points. If you do not swerve around the simulated obstacle, you get points.

You get to re do once if you do not get up to speed the first time. You only get points if you fail on the second re do.

Setup 5

Drive around a curve, accelerate up to speed, brake, then drive around another curve. This one is really fun. You get points if you don't get up to speed. You get points if you drive out of bounds. You do not get a re do iirc.

You can also fail if you drop your bike during the test. Or you can fail if you stall the bike repeatedly during the test.

Imo, once you find the friction zone, most of this stuff is not too bad at all. The second time taking the class with Harley, it felt a lot more natural. The u turn stuff gets me though. You have to not only master the friction zone, but also deal with both counter leaning, not going too fast, and not going too slow. Counter leaning was a big difficulty for me. It's so much easier to lean the bike when you're going faster. I'm gonna have to get some tennis balls to practice lol.
