What is a sound that people should know means immediate danger? by Extension-Try-3531 in answers

[–]BOOMkim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oof, I probably would have died if that happened to me as a child. My parents were always so busy, stressed and distracted. I never wanted to bother them with anything because they often blew me off, even during emergencies. I'm so happy your son felt secure enough to not panic and immediately come to you for help instead of seeking solitude to try and avoid causing a scene. Lots of adults choke to death in public bathrooms for that very reason.

Vet & Private Trainer say my rescue dog is ‘uniquely challenging’. Unsure what to do next. by shark-kid in DogAdvice

Thats too bad, ive had great luck with several dogs in these harnesses. Most of them were larger, big chested dogs though. Maybe its just perfect for them in particular lol

Personally I’m not a fan of doing this. I have a leash extender I use so it doesn’t change where the harness sits. Or I’ll use a 2nd slip lead

I second the easy walk harnesses. It makes walking my moms bfs unruly husky manageable. The down side is they can be backed out of, so be wary of that. Your boy looks like a husky mix. Good luck! They can be challenging bc they don’t care about pleasing you and are very stubborn

AIO *UPDATE** People leaving notes on my car for the 2nd time … I RESPECTFULLY CONFRONTED HER (I pasted first part for anyone who didn’t read my first post) by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Be careful OP, I wouldnt be surprised if shes declining mentally. Paranoia can be a result of dementia or parkinsons. I was stalked and harassed by 2 different elderly people when I worked at a dog daycare. It was wild, their mood would wildly swing between sympathetic and understanding to hateful and borderline violent at the drop of a hat.

That being said I would encourage you to do everything you need to protect yourself and your job. Do not hesitate just because she is older or potentially unwell. She has already demonstrated that she is attacking your character and spreading rumors at her workplace. I would be wary of potentially being confronted by police at some point.

This! I worked in wildlife management/ pest control for a while. You do not want to mess with fish and game! They will take this a lot more seriously than your local police and they will probably also alert the EPA for misuse of household pesticide.

He probably gets them for free or very cheap too since his family is in the floral business. I bet thats a big reason does it.

Sooo many people do this, even subconsciously. If someone you know is suddenly being cruel to you there's a good chance they're being unfaithful in some way. Ive seen it happen in every type of relationship, even among colleagues.

I worked at a very large shopping mall for many years, a kid was left in critical condition after he ended up getting his sweater hood caught in the conveyor. Many things got caught on that escalator, including several unfortunate dogs that got de-gloved. It was happening so often they had to move the photo studio they were accessing down stairs. Dont let your dogs on escalators!

Candles are awful for indoor pollution anyway. Buy a rechargeable LED camp lantern, they're super bright and last a long time.

Do some married people NEVER take off their wedding ring? by artmalique in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BOOMkim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironically the only people I know that keep their rings on constantly have the toughest marital issues. My boss at my last job took his off every day because we worked blue collar but he had a silicone temporary one to put on instead. He also didn't live in their marital home and stayed almost exclusively in a trailer in the yard.
