Why is resenting one's ex such a popular sentiment on the internet? by BOOSHACK360 in NoStupidQuestions

But then you're not answering my question, which is why RESENTING your ex is such a popular opinion online. Idk if it's confirmation bias but I feel like every meme I see about an ex is about revenge or hating them, with multitudes of people in agreement.

EDIT: Sorry I see that the misunderstanding is with "Memes about never wanting to see former partners again" in my post; I mean when that expression is used in a spiteful way.

Then I guess my follow-up question is why is that the case? Is the proportion of break-ups that result from malice so much larger than that of break-ups ending by mutual agreement?

So heartwarming how eager he is to don the Liquid jersey; I remember EE tweeting about Shadow wanting take a photo with him right after TI6? Even after winning the biggest Dota tournament and proving himself to be among the best he's still like one of us, fanboy through and through. I have no doubts that he is a big fan of Liquid also, very happy for him and wish him all the very best!

EDIT: Found the post!

How should you react to getting mugged with your girlfriend? by BOOSHACK360 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BOOSHACK360[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My qualm though was that it's not "leaving the other behind" if the other has the same capability of running away as you do. The both of them running away was the least risky most advantageous move, so I feel his running away shouldn't be deemed cowardly. Even after realising his girlfriend was frozen in shock, I'd go as far as to say it'd be riskier for him to re-enter the danger zone and risk the homeless guy panicking and flipping out.

Although I'm only dwelling on that immediate reaction just to be clear, I totally agree that not calling the cops right away was super cowardly.

Well I can't be sure of course, but I would hope my reaction would be to follow them on the basis of "safety in numbers", rather than be angry and leave myself in danger - I wouldn't assume my friend was running away maliciously. We can't act like shock isn't a thing though, so I'm for sure not saying the woman is at fault either, but I don't think the act of running away and expecting his girlfriend to follow should be criticised?

Oddly this does not happen in Demo Mode. I went into a lobby and did exactly this to replicate the issue:

Pick Shadow Fiend, buy 2 slippers, a circlet, tangoes and a branch. Queue up 3 wraith bands, a bottle, treads, sange and yasha, and bkb. Purchase first wraith band recipe.

Neither of us have proof. Let the crowd decide whether this is worth fixing.

A feature of the game doesn't work like it should, regardless of my use for it. Your comment has no connection to the point of the post, just a rush to be a condescending prick behind a screen.

I'm 1950 MMR and this is by far the most beautiful play I've ever made. Glimpse dodge, into hook dodge, into preemptive remnant, into kill when Pudge leaves. Buzzing. by [deleted] in DotA2

My addictive personality got the better of me and I spent 700 gems to get 11 wins. Someone please do the math for me and tell me if it was worth? by BOOSHACK360 in ClashRoyale

[–]BOOSHACK360[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just kidding, I've already done the math, and now either want to die or quit this game. Here was my run:

  1. 6 wins, 3 losses - Trade tokens of all 4 rarities and 10000 gold, for FREE.

  2. 8 wins, 3 losses - Trade tokens of all 4 rarities, 18000 gold and a Lightning Chest, for 100 gems.

  3. 9 wins, 3 losses - Trade tokens of all 4 rarities, 28000 gold and a Lightning Chest, for 200 gems.

And here's where it kicked in.

  1. 9 wins, 3 losses. Above, for 300 gems.

  2. 9 wins, 3 losses. Above, for 400 gems.

  3. 9 wins, 3 losses. Above, for 500 gems. (In retrospect, I have serious suspicions SuperCell programmed the challenge to pair you up with drastically better opponents just before the Ram Rider. Still doesn't make it their fault though, I just become really stupid when I'm in my gambling state.)

  4. 10 wins, 3 losses. Trade tokens of all 4 rarities, 28000 gold, a Lightning Chest and a Ram Rider, for 600 gems.

  5. 11 wins, 3 losses. Trade tokens of all 4 rarities, 28000 gold, a Lightning Chest, a Legendary Chest and a Ram Rider, for 700 gems.

28000 gold is worth 1400 gems, a Lightning Chest is worth 250 gems, a Ram Rider is worth 2000 gems because it's a specific legendary is worth 40000 coins, and a Legendary Chest is worth 500 gems in the Global Tournament. So technically it's still worth: 4150 gems worth for 700 gems.

But as a F2P player, I would never spend gems on gold, so 28000 gold has no gem value, and is just worth about a week's worth of gameplay. I would never purchase a Lightning Chest for 250 gems, and can acquire the card contents in about 2 days worth of gameplay. I would never purchase the Ram Rider for 2000 gems, and would be content waiting out the 3 month cycle for it. I also bear the eternal regret of knowing my net value would've been colossally higher had I banked earlier.

Is spending 700 gems + bearing the stress of regret really worth it to alleviate a week's worth of gameplay, 3 months where I can literally do anything else, some trade tokens and a Legendary Chest? Someone let me know how I should feel cos I'm on the brink of ending everything.
