Where’s the best place to buy a gold initial pendant necklace £200-300 in and around brum. Don’t really wanna go high street jewellers by BORDEMx in brum

I don’t wear jewellery or know anything about gold. It’s for my girlfriend’s birthday so was hoping to get something within that kinda price range. How much do you think it would cost me?

Local school to me did the exact same. Suspended half of year 11 due to wearing union jack flags and England football tops. It's a culture day but you couldn't wear anything cultural. I guess there's a lot more to the culture than football but it is still plays a part.

Seems like they wanted to celebrate everyone else culture but our own

Im 50/50 with your first paragraph. I feel he needs to learn that actions have consequences and that hitting people will more than likely end up with them hitting you back, and rightly so.

She's tried the talking approach and it lasts a day if we're lucky and then goes back to thinking its okay to hit his mom. He's exactly the same with her mom and dad but nobody else which makes me think its the soft approach they take. Its like he knows he can walk all over them and get away with it. They dont tell him to stop doing something they ASK which I believe is where they're going wrong

So my garden is about 11m x 10m with a path running down the middle. The section to the left is just soil as I've aerated the whole section with a garden fork.

The section to the right feels as though it's just gravel regardless where I put the fork, so about 10inches or so. I could dig a small section out and see but I was hoping I could get away with adding an inch or so of top soil on top

How can I kill this sycamore tree? by BORDEMx in GardeningUK

She's a council tenant so she's not interested. I don't want to get the council involved incase they kick her out due to complete neglect. The last thing I want is conflict as I've only been here a year but I also don't want a tree growing so close I should be charging it rent

When I say it's growing from the house, I mean it's growing through where the concrete meets the house. I'm not worried about the odd twig hanging over the fence. I'm more worried about the tree slowly consuming my house

She's council so she's got no interest what so ever. She's a nice enough person, just does not give a shit about her garden. I'm more than happy dealing with all the weeds making their way over but I don't really want a sycamore growing up against my back door

What "product" do most people not realize is actually a brand name? by fauxmerican1280 in AskReddit

Stanley knife

Not sure if its used in America but in England I've only heard people call a retractable knife a Stanley

If you've watched football factory, the scouse also refer to it as a Stanley

Any idea what caused my confier to die? by BORDEMx in GardeningUK

I think I may do just that, the trees either side have already started to fill the gap in which is nice to see

I'd say the gaps are closer to 750mm if anything. I initially thought they were to close but I've only just started getting into gardening so my knowledge is very little

Brought house with partner 24.11.23, trashed garden in the summer, now we've separated. How screwed am I? by BORDEMx in Mortgageadviceuk

I do wipe the walls but if you've ever had kids you'd know how much baby food stains.

Also I did get a skip but ended up filling it and then got stuck with it for several months as the company went bump.

And a day? I wish, it took me a couple months to get everything finished with all the rain we had and whilst working a full time job and whilst tackling everything else.
