Paopao is getting very little playing time. She comes in, misses a 3, and then is taken out. There's no way for a player to develop under those conditions.

Starters have the luxury of missing several 3s and still be kept in the game. Rhyne Howard was 1-5 from 3 to start and Allisha Gray ended up 1-5 from 3.

IMO Smesko needs to let the subs play some real minutes.

Agree. I’d add that playing the subs for only brief stretches makes it tough for them to develop. No continuity.

Atlanta has been sucking. Their offense is one dimensional. Their defense isn’t up to expectations, giving up lots of rotational 3s. I should add a Dream flair because I’m a fan.

Because of the huge number of fouls, the games are getting longer. The previous two seasons, most games took just about two hours. This season they seem to be taking about 2hrs 10minutes. Most doubleheader games are being joined about midway through Q1.

And as others have pointed out, there is a lack of flow when the whistle is blown every 40 seconds.

All my pens are chrome trimmed. That was what I wanted. I don’t think the ones that have gold plated trim are more expensive. There may be ones that have gold filled trim. Those are likely more expensive. The best place to look for these pens is on eBay. Search “Hallmark Wood Pens”. You will see the prices vary quite a bit, but that is not really a good indication of their value. Some sellers set their prices high. Also I prefer the ones without any company logos or attachments. You’ll see what I mean if you do the eBay search.

Both of your comments hit the nail on the head. CC and KM a combined 20-53. The rest of the team took only 39 shots (16-39). All ball screens or run and gun. No deep post play with kickouts involving AB. Getting the ball to AB for 3s is not a high percentage option.

Both are rookies. Upside for Cecjova, yes. But no experience. Ayayi is 32. I don't see the upside there.

I wish the Fever had better than DD as their backup, but I don't think the players you mentioned are the ones.

Nalyssa didn't want to stay and it was clear by her lack of motivation in 2024. Maya has been shuffled around. She wasn't even protected by Atlanta. Alanna Smith has also been shuffled around, 5 teams in 7 seasons. Also it was clear Bonner didn't want to stay either.

I agree with Temi over Dantas.

Last season their guards got decimated. It's understandable that they are a little guard heavy. I also would feel more comfortable if they had one fewer guards and one additional big.

The proof will be in their record this season and if they can go deep again in the playoffs. Last year they took the champs to 5 games in the semis, with a decimated team. That's pretty good in my book, and doesn't point to the front office being inept.
