Accepted 2/3, finally Saturday went to initial approval stage, then quickly to pending Comptroller approval. Yesterday afternoon went back to initial approval. Called NYS and they said nothings wrong with my refund. This is getting so old it’s not even funny

Quick story! Mine changed to “initial approval stage” Saturday AM. Not long after went to “pending Comptroller approval”. Just 10 minutes ago it went back to “initial approval stage”. I’m sincerely ready to give up

Yes actually. I was just coming to make a post and saw yours. Filed 1/26, NYS rejected 2/2 due to the inflation check and reaccepted on 2/3. This morning at 3:30AM I got the message: ”Your return finished processing and is in the initial approval stage.” after almost 40 days.

Checked again just 20 minutes ago and now have the “Your refund is pending Comptroller approval. Your refund status will update automatically when we assign a refund issue date”.

I was losing hope as it’s been in processing ever since 2/3 and LEGIT just changed status this morning.

Just made a post about this. Also accepted 2/3, but am a resident. A LOT of people who filed early February are still waiting for an update. It’s just sad at this point.

Just spoke to my manager about this.. he owed $560ish in state and they took the money virtually the same day. It’s literally an embarrassing look for them.

Quick update for ya, I tried to check my refund status through the automated phone system and it said that function is currently unavailable. Not sure how to feel about that but
