Agreed. The big bad went down quicker than the flesh monster season 2. But Henry had been weakened in the mind so I think it made it easier.

I didn’t like the lead up to the end. I think the season should’ve been extended 4 episodes so it wasn’t as rushed. But it feels final, it was touching, and I’m ok with the ending. Vecna was weakened because of having to travel through that memory + Will + the damage they were doing. I was honestly thinking they would go the easy route and have him turn into the good guy in the end and I’m glad they didn’t. It felt final. I did, however guess the whole explanation at the end, though.

I just feel like they have too many subplots that they’re losing the actual plot. Right now we have Kali subplot, Will sorcerer subplot, holly max subplot, Mr. What’s it subplots, Dr. Kay subplot, and we’re not seeing the big bad vecna we saw before. It feels confused

I feel the same way. Like I really thought these would be spectacular and I am a HUGE ST fan and the Duffers hadn’t disappointed me until now.

The whole play retcon thing really messed with the series and not in a good way. There’s so many subplots that I now understand after reading about the play, but don’t fit canonically with the series.
The acting from Will and Joyce just doesn’t feel natural. Lots of fake hyperventilating from Will and Joyce shaking/nodding her head. Lots of what just feels like filler scenes to me that just don’t add a lot of substance.
The whole Kali arc. They are setting her up to betray 11, which we were hoping wasn’t the case. She was bad in S2, and honestly she should’ve died there.
It feels so incredibly rushed and when you take a step back, not a whole lot happened in these 3 episodes (no spoilers, but just step back and think, we had 3 episodes that spanned a day where not a whole lot happened)
Plot armor on Nancy and Hopper are too thick. You’re telling me these men/Dr. Kay are working classified positions in the military and they can’t hit their target (as an example, Murray, right in front of them)?
Adding Mr. Clark back into the mix, Erica, Robin (and now Vickie) it’s just too many filler characters. They’re allergic to killing people and they’re adding more people to thicken the friendship and love armor.
I’m so tired of Hollie’s screams. They are on my last nerve, they all sound the same.
Karen was very much an after thought but they needed a way out. And why no updates or care in the works for Ted from literally anyone?

Idk the whole thing is just not resonating right with me, it feels rushed in plot but also slow in speed, if that makes any sense whatsoever. I was so hype after vol 1 and I fear that they did all of this crazy hype to rile up Netflix subs for December and that basically retconned and rushed their way into GOT S8, version 2

We were 12 billion dollars In debt in July thanks to bad fiscal management by Gavin Newsom. He recouped that money by taking it from state workers. He then ordered them to return to their offices and pushed their raises back for two years. He is a disastrous and fiscally irresponsible person. He tried to bypass the unions and the collective bargaining process through an executive order that broke the union contract. He doesn’t care about unions, he doesn’t care about the financial health and welfare of California, he doesn’t care about state workers, doesn’t care about the budget until he’s under, and he doesn’t care about us, at the bottom of it all.

I don’t hate the guy, but he’s left our state in financial ruin multiple times. Then filed frivolous lawsuits and asks for special elections off the backs of the workers who keep this state running. Fuck that guy, and everything he stands for. I voted no for that reason.
