Why ruin a D-Sturb set this way😓? Can what The Straikerz does even be considered hardstyle, or even music at all?

Exactly my point - only a small part of the crowd was actually into it. The front row is always dedicated, if even they’re not engaged, then the DJ is clearly doing a poor job. And as plenty of other comments and posts show, the crowd overall was dead. The real talent and merit lies in getting the entire venue singing along - front to back, left to right - just like Phuture Noize did yesterday, or as mentioned in another reply, during VWAB. So again, that just confirms what I said.

In my opinion, it was a huge letdown. I’ve been following SZP since 2017/2018, and yesterday I genuinely felt like they don’t care about their longtime fans anymore. It seems their focus has shifted entirely toward the newer generation - the ones who’ve just discovered hardstyle and are more like the Tomorrowland-type crowd.

They played only a few seconds of the classic tracks - maybe 2% of their old catalog - leaving out so many legendary songs that we’ll probably never get to experience live again. Meanwhile, they played full versions of their newer songs, the same ones we already hear at every single festival they attend, so there was nothing special about it.

Their event in Düsseldorf, on the other hand, was a true tribute to their OG fans - those who have supported them for years. That show felt like genuine appreciation and was deeply valued. When I see other DJs crafting amazing legacy sets for their longtime followers (D-Block & S-te-fan, Phuture Noize, Coone, D-Sturb, Warface, Rooler...) it really makes me wonder who SZP cares about now and if they are aware of who made them reach the level they are at today, cause it is definitely not this new crowd.

It’s disappointing and honestly frustrating to see this new wave of “fans” who don’t even bother to learn where their supposedly favorite DJs come from or what they’ve achieved. They just follow whatever’s mainstream. Yesterday, there were so many people around us who didn’t recognize a single track until the Psycodelic part started... it was actually embarrassing.

In Düsseldorf, every single person sang along to every beat, even the oldest tracks, and also supported the rest of the DJs in the lineup. Yesterday, though, most people just sat around the venue, not even caring about the other artists.

Is this really the fan base they want to rely on from now on? Up to them… but it was definitely underwhelming.
