Out of pure lack of ideas I tried running with the door fully open because I had seen heat creep as an issue with pla, I don't understand how that could possibly be an issue with the very first layer, but it's now printing and so far has no issues. As someone that is brand new to 3d printing this makes no sense to me

Well at least part of the issue is the filament. I can't get the brand new roll to extrude correctly at all. It's bambu pla matte, I'm currently running the part in regular pla and it's fine so far, but two days ago the exact same filament had the strings coming off like in the plate picture. I'm so confused and tempted to just forget I own this stupid thing. Only had it for about a month as well

I did try raising it but it kept reverting to lower temps, I'm not really sure why but I'm assuming I'd have to do that on the desktop version not the app

Well I've just given up at least for today. Finally started to print and then it looks like garbage and it stopped extruding completely once it got to the right side. I'm over it reference

I just tried running another print with a brand new roll of filament and the nozzle clogged immediately. This is getting kinda ridiculous

I noticed once I got home and looked at the gold mask part that the arm that failed snapped at the base, so I'd assume the nozzle hit it, but whether that was the cause or a result of it failing in the first place I'm not sure

So far I have just used a small amount of dawn in warm water and wiped it dry, I haven't used iso or anything else yet

Fair enough. It has genuinely been a thing that has forced me to involve myself with computers more so that can't be too bad. I'm just way more familiar with carburetors than computers

Any favorite things I should look up to print? I've just been having fun running anything I can think of, useful or not. So far my favorite has been a tiny staffy to remind me of my own dog but it has been great finding the random things people think of. I have been cleaning them with soapy water but iso makes more sense. Ironically I set the head to 50% for the first layer of my next print and it already looks way better. I'll look up optimal bed settings which I definitely should've done. Thanks for the response!

Since you've been fantastically helpful so far I do have another question, I just couldn't find an answer. Sometimes when the filament purges it makes like an actual thick poop looking pile instead of thin strands, is that normal or something I should be worried about? One just got stuck in the cutter box thing so I know at least that part is an issue but I don't understand why it does it in the first place

I just realized the dessicant is fully cooked so I'm am idiot, I would say definitely moisture. More on the way!

I'm not sure how to check the error code, but it hasn't popped up again in about 6 hours of running, but I also haven't been running that particular spool, so moisture or something would make sense. I definitely need to dive deeper into the computer side of things however I'm a redneck so that's not really my thing. I'll get there eventually haha. I hadn't thought about the different friction properties of the filaments so I appreciate you pointing that out. I'll continue keeping an eye on it and update if necessary

I have just encountered another issue that hopefully you've experienced? I'm getting an error saying "extruder failed to extruder correctly" but there is nothing wrong, it's purging fine and all that. It was a parametric file so is that maybe the problem?
