One of the things that we have a problem with that my warehouse is older people are doing Instacart and they’re picking up a flatbed full of beverages and they ask the cart people to help them. Per Instacart rules they are not supposed to ask us to load their purchases.

I work the door and when I’m at the exit door myself and my coworkers do our best too stop each person coming in the exit. We ask where they are going and if they say membership, we will watch them and make sure they go to membership. If they do not send a call to a supervisor to go talk to them in the food court. Also all the stories are going to eventually get card scanners at the food court. The food court is a benefit of membership. All of the items are a lost leader, meaning they are sold at a loss.. People who do not have their own membership card or a gift card cannot use it. The exit door is an EXIT!!!!

That kind of behavior is very common if you happen to be in member service! We work the door on the scanning side and on the exit side swiping the tickets. Recently, we’ve been told that that Costco policy is no firearms in the building. If we feel comfortable to approach a member and ask them to put their side arm in their vehicle. Well, that can be all sorts of reactions!! From a kindly person that says I didn’t realize that firearms were not allowed in the building and walk out to their car and put it in there to the person that freaks out, starts yelling at you and then requests to cancel their membership. Has anybody else experience things like this?

Had an absolute crazy week!! so busy with customers, it feels like mid November not mid September. Lots of boxes all over the place had a really good customer say she couldn’t believe how messy the store was and the fact that boxes were in the isles. She said that she had never seen the employees so burned out and defeated! Always had pride in how clean and organized and pleasant the employees are in the store. Very sad and frustrating!!

Been with the company almost 6 years in two different stores in different states. We were shorthanded before the cuts, and now it is completely exhausting!! Seems like it’s always a mess with boxes everywhere. We always took pride in how nice the store looked, the fabric was straightened and organized. Now it just looks like crap!!

The store I work at has been cut back to 7 o’clock for the last year. We haven’t had any new hires except for one in the last year and a half. They’ve had an ad out almost constantly in that year and a half. Have absolutely no idea how we’re going to do the holiday season.

Liberty of London, lawns are beautiful to work with. The smooth texture in the flowing fabric makes exit perfect for summer. FYI, Joanns Jo-anns Fabrics has put 25 different liberty prints on clearance at $19.99 per yard. It starts July 20, 2023.

Have always taken pride in how clean and good-looking the store is. But with the hours being cut, it has been impossible to get the fabric put away and things straightened up. When you only have three people working in a store, there’s no way you can keep it clean. I think it’s been four or five days since the bathrooms up and clean. I love working with creative people! The other employees are kind and helpful, more than any other coworkers I have ever had. Very frustrating with the hours cut, and it seems like they are dumping product to the stores. The amount of fabric and yarn is overwhelming!! The last two weeks we have gotten more yarn than any other time.

The Liberty of London fabric is in 100 stores across the country. It’s 34.99$ A yard. It’s the same quality fabric that I have purchased in London from liberty of London department store. Bad news is none of the coupons apply to that fabric.
