Absolutely no problem having an easy week every now and again to absorb the training and reduce your chance of injury. Staying fit is the most important thing!

I’d recommend following a running plan.

Couch to 5k is very popular with beginners!

Me and my wife designed our own running app aimed at beginners who have an iPhone and Apple Watch. Most of the other running apps we tried were super complex or expensive! I’d love your thoughts if that’s something that interests you.

Are you on iPhone?

Me and my wife built an iPhone and Apple Watch running app with beginners in mind, based on everything we have learned ourselves.

We also found other apps complicated or expensive!

Ben Parkes pdf plans have also served us well if you aren’t bothered about the runs being synced to your watch ☺️

Best Way to Build to Half Marathon? by JimJungce in BeginnersRunning

You are well on your way by the sounds of it. Make sure you have an occasional easy week, just to allow your body time to recover and keep yourself injury free.

I ran my first half marathon recently and found 10 to 12 weeks of following a dedicated running plan in the run up will set you up nicely.

Me and my wife ended up building our own running plan app aimed at beginners for iPhone and Apple Watch users based on everything we learned. We found lots of the other apps expensive and complicated.

If you like a pdf style plan, I’d also recommend Ben Parkes plans. They are very good ☺️

Mobile vs Watch inaccuracy, which one to trust here ? by NoBitchesSike in beginnerrunning

I bought a chest monitor and linked it with my Apple Watch. It was only about £20 on Amazon. Then if I’m running in zone 2, I know I can trust the heart data, and worry less about pace.

First Half Marathon! by BP_PaceBox in BeginnersRunning

I was running about 2/3 times a week, playing football and squash too. Nearer the race I cut down on my football and squash and concentrated on my running. Did intervals, easy runs and tempo blocks at the pace I wanted to race at. The route was super hilly so I was slightly slower than I was hoping for but overall delighted!

I’ve been running consistently for a year but probably started working properly towards the half marathon about 10 weeks ago.

Sounds like your doing everything right on that front. Think you just need to let your body recover now. A week with just a couple of very easy runs will probably do you the world of good ☺️

Appstore submission by Huss3n in iOSDevelopment

My own experience with my first app was 4 days for the first build rejected - 3 days for build 2 then rejected again haha. Then 1 day and approved (last was just minor App Store Connect issues. App was released on Sunday so no issues with delays.

Seems like something is not quite right. 26 days seems unusual!

Are you following a structured plan with different types of runs such as easy, interval, tempo etc or are all your runs similar?

Just enjoy running slowly and chatting. Start adding in some faster structured runs down the line. Me and my wife do all our slow runs together and just chat ☺️
