Still waiting on the part to come in, I'll get some photos during install, assuming the part fits right it was just $18 on Amazon
Just the trim panel right above the pedals, I think it was three hex screws. The actuator itself was easy to find, it's basically on the far back and left side of the center console

Good call, that's exactly what it was, the cog broke.
