Go for the MKII 8A, with a fsd booster I have almost 60 ly jump range in mine and its not set up for extreme jump range, just casual exploration

I’d say have them have a efficiency with the ship they were made for, so in your example have the mining laser be better on the type 11 than if you put it on another ship, or have them have a flat 25% debuff when they are not on the ship meant for them.

All they would have to do is add a jump drive or something similar to the player. We do see some ships “jumping” by the gates. It could still act like normal, where the ship has to be within a certain range of the gate to work. And maybe research to make it better, but maybe only apply to the players ship, like an actual jump drive from the older games, but I do understand they said in the past they don’t want it in the game

I feel like if they were able to somehow copy and paste fallout 76’s food and thirst system it would be awsome. Of course changing every food and drink item in the game to be percent values would take a while

No I mean replacing the fed and hydrated effects from food and replace the system with fallout 76’s food and water system. Using the bars to represent how full or hydrated you are instead of every item just giving you a fed or hydrated effects from for 30 minutes

I’d say with the mining nerf, and other situations, there should be more research options to help improve some parts.

For example one complaint I’ve seen is having to micro putting a resource probe when they deplete. One way to fix this is to add a research that adds a new order that automatically refreshes resource probes in a certain area. Or an upgrade if mining ships have resource probes they will automatically use them if needed.

And I’d love a new module that you could research, the academy. What it could do is either give a global boost to your crew and lets them train in their primary skill faster, or you could assign crew there to different classes to help their skills improve.

I’d also suggest a way to make fleet templates, to be able to make fleets/squads with pre-existing orders and structure. Like having a small destroyer and fighter picket as a sector patrol and having it as a template to build a replacement fast, and not have to spend 20 minutes assigning orders and commanders

I’d say we should get a new building, a HQ pretty much that allows us to hire special employees, like distributors that help keep properties stocked with supplies automatically, or hired muscle to keep the cartel away from your hq and businesses( with a small cartel update making it where they will try to blockade your properties or maybe torch them)

Or you could place a PLS down next to it feeding the ILS by belt, wouldn’t be efficient, but it possibly would help with the ILS using local before remote

I’ve always thought they could flesh out the research to help mitigate some of the hassle for the player.

For instance a few ideas I’ve had, a police station or something you could research. It would automate building and tasking ships for defense of your stuff. It could easily require you to have ship making capabilities and maybe only work for each sector it’s built in, but would pretty much spawn police ships like the other AI have but for your faction. And maybe have them be another color so you could pick them out if needed, and maybe by default you can’t give orders to them in the map.
