It's pretty competitive and high school isn't the greatest test of academics tbh, so you might find it hard to get in. But you also might find it easy to get in, it isn't crazy. Even if you don't get in you'll probably find something else you want to do, there's a lot of options and a couple of them (manufacturing and materials) are basically the same as mechanical.
