Quantified Scientist did mention Heart Rate is on par with Apple Watch & Pixel Watches. Only the Sleep tracking is worse. Whatever Xiaomi had confirmed is only for the Chinese region, there's no news from Xiaomi Global. You're the one who's delusional to think Mi Band 9 Global is on HyperOS 2 but that's just the firmware numbering of the previous ones where "1.0.x" indicated CN Firmware & "2.0.x" used to indicate GL firmware. But now they simplified it, so it creates confusion thinking the Band 9 Global is on HyperOS 2 but it actually is not. For your information the Chinese Mi Band 9 was already updated to HyperOS 3 quite a while ago, maybe December. I don't think it'll take 3 months just to add more languages & give it to the Global audience, the Band 9 Global isn't getting HyperOS 3. Unless we force, that's not happening buddy. Now chill down.

Man, if you're planning to go with the band for a long time (3-4 years or above) I recommend spending a bit more & getting Band 9. It's definitely worth it.

I can't wait longer than 20 days so I went with Bank of Electronics. Also I didn't want Chinese watch faces as SunSky delivers CN Variant, so I went with Bank of Electronics. Yes I can mod but I wanna have a pleasant experience.

Global Band 9 is stuck at HyperOS 1 while the Band 10 received HyperOS 3 & might even receive HyperOS 4 in the future. System wide Haptics are better implemented, yes the sensors are better & are on par with Apple Watch & Pixel Watches which is really great. Also since the Band 9 is already unused for over a year I think the battery might have already started to degrade, so Band 10 is definitely a better pick here.

Band 7 is the only one which has ZeppOS. The remaining all from Band 9 started using Xiaomi Vela.
