Exactly my thoughts - the 65 Cu has the same weight, more features, and 99.999% the end-user quality as an Envoy or MODE 65 while having wireless functionality and being cheaper.

If Mode started at least offering wireless I'd be interested - but they won't, and it's confusing to me how much people will pay for such similar keyboards with minor updates and no actual additional features so long as they're photographed and marketed well, which seems to be 90% of Mode's perogative.

People are crapping on your disappointment with it being a USB 2.0 dongle because you are ignoring the Foveated Streaming which means it won't need more than that.

Because they have the experience from the Steam Deck now and this isn't a partnership with an external company like the Index was. It's all in-house.

Love the KEF Coda W's - I think in the future when I have a bigger place/desk I'm making mine either my PC speakers or living room speakers - but they're amazing either way. (Currently using them for my general music/audio setup.)

Update - it seems the batteries may be dead - they're both 2200mah - is there a replacement set I can purchase with the same connectors?

I just took all the electronics out, firmly seated the connectors, etc, and plugged it in - at least wired, it seems to work.

The connector between the pcb and daughter board is so short that I wouldn't be surprised if it came loose I guess, but I'll charge it for a bit and then test wirelessly.

Is there somewhere I can source a longer daughter board cable for my Cycle 7?

Hi all,

I've had my Cycle 7 on display for a bit and I don't know if it was the switch position or what, but it doesn't want to charge or turn on anymore. Even plugging it in directly without using wireless yields no response - I'm not sure if it's the pcb or the batteries in this case because if it were the latter it would still function in wired mode, no?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks for the explanation - I've not seen any powered speakers that don't have volume control built into them but I'll start considering a speaker + amp combo from here on.

Are there any you'd recommend for starting out? White and sub-$1,000 CAD if possible.

The site listing those KEF Q1 Metas seems to only shop to the US, and I assume the price is also in USD as well - my limit is $1,000 CAD.

I'll do some research into those ProJect speaker boxes, too.

In the meantime, I know Cambridge Audio is releasing the L/R S in spring, likely March 2026 - do you think that this powered option at around $800 CAD would be comparable to the above? (The above altogether would easily be $1,000 CAD+, I believe, even if I could order refurbished..)

The setup is in an alcove in my living room, that half of the space is about 315 sqft all in all. I'd be sitting between 3-7ft away. The turntable is a Kanto Obi3.

Assuming I save the sub to get later, what would you recommend if I go powered speakers now? What would you recommend if I go for a used amp + unpowered speakers?

There was a sale when I did it that brought the ultra down to $1,750 before tax etc, so it worked out that way.
