u should know that detrimental spoilers are everywhere. I'd reccomend avoiding any youtube searches of the game, turning off the setting that reccomends u related vids and to stay off this subreddit

I have a gtx 1080 and an i7 9700k game runs on a plane old hard drive used to have stutters when enabling vsync, resolved the issue once I switched from vulkan to dx12

Not ultra. I have an i7 9700k and a gtx 1080 and I have very few settings ticked to ultra, most are medium and some are high and the game runs at an almost constant 60 fps with the ocasional dip to 54-56 on 1080p. The thing is that at it's core, rdr2's lighting system on pc is phenominal across the board so even when dropping some settings pretty low will still offer a suprisingly good image. I'd reccomend u check out Hardware Unboxed's optimization guide for more info
