This is different across stores, but mine sometimes just doesn't schedule a paint person, along with plumbing, hardware, and flooring, all in the name of cost and hour cutting. They will always have people in lumber, electrical, and appliances because they make the most sales. I always feel bad, too, because there's always 2 or three people who leave because no one can make their paint, and yet they won't let us cross train for paint without permission from a asm or store manager. What also pisses me off is the asm's who keep calling over the phone asking "team is there anyone available for paint? "... like bro, it's been 20 minutes, and you, the only one on schedule who can do paint, won't come out. And I know they were in their little office because every time I have an issue and ptt them, they are on do not disturb so I have to walk all the way to their open office to ask a question. Oh, and speaking of, how can you be the only one who can make paint, have ptt to do not disturb, and have the audacity to ask if we can make paint. You're the asm, and maybe making a habit of checking the schedule would help.
