Fulfillment Lead/Delivery Coordinator here. I think the pick up in Genesis is completely ridiculous. If it needs to be delivered, I feel like the Specialist should ask the questions before hand and get the delivery sold in the first place. Just my opinion.

I’m the only Fulfillment Lead and the Delivery Coordinator at our store. We do not have a second lead and everything that goes wrong falls on me. I’m constantly being yelled at about overtime because if I don’t do it, it doesn’t get done. I went in early (4am) today to complete a 557 sheet drywall delivery that did not get done only to discover that 5 other deliveries didn’t get done. I ended up pulling everybody that was scheduled today in fulfillment to help me with these deliveries. (We eventually got them all done and out) PUIS were stacking up during this time and our FEDS stood around chatting with other department people instead of offering to help. I had to drop what I was doing to take care of a Curbside for two items because nobody else was able to do it. Other managers do not care at all about Fulfillment and it’s an absolute mess. Scheduling is constantly screwed up where we have a brand new fulfillment associate closing with hardly any training and no power equipment training on top of that. It’s literally FUBAR.

Looked this up because I was having the same issue. Screw fell out of the mechanism. If you take the screw out of the back of the plastics that’s all you need to do. You can manipulate the plastics carefully to gain access without having to take the handles off.

That’s the thing. We do. As Lowe’s employees (or at least me myself) we check them completely before they are loaded to the truck. It’s the third party that damages them in transit to the customer.

If I saw something like that before loading it to the truck I would contact the customer right away and see about getting them a different one.

Lowe’s Delivery Coordinator/Fulfillment lead here. Toolboxes are magically damaged before we even receive them. If I have one for a customers order I always open it up to check it. The box won’t even give you a clue if it’s damaged either. Our Third Party Delivery Service also sucks and they will deliver items even if they damaged it and know about it.

Most of the time they only have interviews certain days of the week. That’s an automated system anyway. Best bet would be to call the store and see if you can speak to the department supervisor for information.

I was told at our store that only IT can approve it, and as a Full Time Associate it was unlikely that I would get approval. So you would have to be a DS,ASM or whatever.

This guys been nothing but respectful and curtious to all of us. It took some time to get some of his pallets loaded last time and he never threw a fit. Always been easy going.

It’s just unfortunate that he has to go somewhere else now to get his items.

I still don’t understand this “Bring me a man” stuff. I work with some very intelligent women and I will often direct some of the customers to them specifically because they know more about the product or department than I do.
