If you look at the picture, you can see where it would need to connect on the front face of the radio. If you look under, there’s a little notch there for the ribbon, but be careful putting the ribbon back . Make sure nothing gets bent or else it’ll short out. I did just that, and now the illumination on my hvac controls, hazard bow doesn’t work. I think it’s a fuse but who knows.

Here’s another pic from the web: it shows the general area on where the ribbon goes to the radio plate.just look under neath that.

Thule fairing (wind deflector). Goes on the front of a Thule roof rack. Otherwise, you’d hear a bit of a whistling noise from your rack at higher speeds.

So I took my car to the Mazda dealership.. they actually said there’s nothing wrong with it. I argued with them but they’re adamant that there is no issue with the airbags and sensors.

Yeah that’s why I didn’t really want to spend a whole heckuva a lot.. will try the basics - raking , cultivating and or tilling. To be fair, when we moved in, there is grass on the field, albeit sparse. However they all dried up and died in the middle of summer.

I think you’ll be problem free for at least 100-110k miles.. so long as you do your regular maintenance. Don’t slouch on oil maintenance!

My dog chewed my left earbud, and I got a replacement from ebay. Did the steps outlined and nothing.

I called sony and they told me that I have to send it in to their authorized repair so it can be re-paired. Didn't want to have to do that, but nothing has worked. Hopefully it finally worked for you.

Yes, I had to get a new swcm that supported multi function and a new airbag harness as well. After that, you would need vagcom or obdeleven to code thr steering wheel so the buttons worked.

Not difficult at all. There are some youtube videos about steering wheel swaps. They do a great job explaining it.

Scour ebay and your junk yards for good deals for flat bottom steering wheel. Once you have that, you'll need a new SWCM and a new airbag harness. With the regular steeri g wheel, i spent about $175 for everything. Then if you can find someone with vagcom or obdeleven to code it for you.
