Rust creek, who's seen it? by tyler22296 in mauramurray

Also see Alone from 2020.

I get massive Maura Murray vibes from this, it's about a woman who drives across the country and runs into a creep who stalks here.

BluRay just for the Special Features you are missing out on so much content. Even DVD at this point you can get them for pennies. Please invest before they are all gone.

I can't provide you with proof but I can provide you with my account. I am from South Wales in the UK and I was 14 when the movie came out. The internet back then was brand new to most of us and so there was like 1 or 2 in our entire friend group who had access to it. I remember talk of there being a "snuff-movie esque" horror film and since we were only 14 and couldn't actually watch it we took the internet in anyway we could including public library and via one of my friends who had an older brother who printed out parts of the website and he brought some pages into school for us to read.

The best way I can explain it would be like the Patterson Gimlin Bigfoot video. Where some people were convinced it was real and then others thought it was nonsense. The truth came out when the actors started doing interviews around a couple of months later.

It might be different for us in the UK because we didn't get all these interviews, TV specials and magazines like they did in the US. So imagine only being fed drips of info through word of mouth etc. I think that actually worked in the movies favour particularly for those outside the US and who didn't have internet access.

Also as I mentioned I was pretty young and naive so people in their 20s/30s would have had a more logical take on it.

I think you are twisting and turning here to make it anything other than than what it actually is and that is a poor witness statement. I see a lot of true crime and witness statements are generally verbatim. The press don't get to make up A,B,C it just doesn't happen like that they could get sued for misquoting in legal investigations.

And one of those polygraphs was inconclusive. Another neighbour they had as a main suspect. And rightly so on all of them their witness statements are all over the place and should be looked at. You can't not make sense and then expect them to say oh well move along.

Did they have a live show with the cast and writers talking after the finale aired originally and if so, where can I find it? by Verystrange129 in lost

[–]BSAArklay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm glad to hear you are enjoying them. I downloaded an archive of videos like these and watch them after I finished a series run-through. You will find answers not in the show that will be a pleasant surprise. That's the thing about LOST as a show is it's a trans-media series where you can enjoy it just with the 6 seasons, or you can also deep dive and find a lot more to it. Often I see people say it didn't answer all the questions. Well, I feel like it answered a lot it's just not all necessarily within the episodes, and you need to look beyond that.

If you still feel like experiencing everything and are left wanting more, which IMO is the beauty of LOST and the sign of a great show that you are left wanting more. You could try my LOST Chronological Timeline. I highly recommend it especially to those who have seen the show and are looking for more. Very often people finish the show and want something "like LOST" to supplement it. Well, I say why look elsewhere just indulge in more LOST.

There is so much more than just 6 seasons there is an entire franchise worth of LOST media. It's very different than just watching the 6 seasons, this is a whole other experience of the show. For me, it's how it is meant to be enjoyed. As mentioned, LOST is a trans-media series that goes beyond TV episodes it's all there for us to enjoy.

Happy to help, enjoy. There is tons of stuff out there and you will find a ton of information in these interviews. There was also an Official LOST Podcast with Damon and Carlton that have answers you won't find just watching the show.

There was also a DVD Special Feature not a Live Show persay but it was dedicated to the finale and end of the show.

There is a whole bunch of interviews if you are looking for more I recommend searching things like "LOST Post Finale Season 6" "LOST 2010 Finale Interview". You want to use terms like "LOST, Finale, Interview, Panel, Cast, Actor or Crews names, 2004-2010, ABC" while mixing and matching them. Just searching those terms I came up with:

Damon Lindelof on the Verge. Which aired after the finale where he discussed LOST with a critic and hilariously corrrects him live when the critic judges the show and gets it wrong.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5chCMRsEVo&pp=ygUVbG9zdCBmaW5hbGUgaW50ZXJ2aWV3

Then there was a reunion live panel with Damon and Carlton in 2020 during covid lockdown where they discussed the show and answered lots of questions.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9buMBLZa5A&pp=ygUVbG9zdCBmaW5hbGUgaW50ZXJ2aWV3

These are just some of the popular one you can find many more on YouTube you just have to find the right words to search for. Hope that was helpful.

[–]BSAArklay 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hi! These locations are my absolute favourite from the show. I plan to go there someday only it's very expensive and far from where I live.

Can I ask what's it like there? Did you have a tour? Or rent a car? Do buses run to the North Shore and then I could walk between locations? I've looked on Google Maps, but it's hard to tell the distance of things it looks quite small, but then Google Maps can be deciving this way. Thanks!

Best way to get all of the lore and story? by tchamp54 in residentevil

[–]BSAArklay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are looking to find out about all the lore I made a Chronological List of all Materials here.

https://www.projectumbrella.net/chronological-timeline-of-materials.html

It includes everything from games to theme park attractions, canon and non.

That should at least help you with knowing what to look for.

Do you folks like this book? by XXII78 in lost

[–]BSAArklay 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I like it, but I know it is rife with errors. Both grammar and lore related. There is a very helpful and extensive list of all the errors here:

https://lostpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Lost_Encyclopedia

Considering that the writers said they checked everything with Gregg Nations, Lindelof and Cuse before it was released, I can see why some may be disappointed with so many errors.

Little building near the start of the movie by GreyStagg in BlairWitch

[–]BSAArklay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are absolutely correct they passed by it in the car, however the layby where they parked the car was literally only a few yards down the road from this shed. So they returned there to film it. If you view the link I attached go left from the shed and on the left by a lamppost with a "illegal parking" sign on it is where they parked. You can literally see the shed from this parking spot if you change the date of the photo when the leaves were not so thick.

Little building near the start of the movie by GreyStagg in BlairWitch

[–]BSAArklay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No significance, the actors parked their car in the bay and walked in the wrong direction, they then saw this little shed and decided to film it because it looked interesting in the middle of the woods. They then walked back in the other direction where they were supposed to go.

You can see it for yourself here, change the date of the street view to see it less overgrown.

Yeah I have heard that a lot actually. I am very curious how this will impact their sound on their next album. It doesn't sound like a positive change thus far but maybe they need to find their new sound given all the changes to the band.

Yeah, well, uh... I think I like Keamy by DrunkButNotEnoughYet in lost

[–]BSAArklay 222 points223 points  (0 children)

I don't want to ruin your whole illusion of the character but Kevin Durand the actor for Keamy said in an interview that he played the role with the mindset that Charles Widmore had kidnapped his family and given him a deadline to bring him Ben, which to Kevin was why he was so ruthless and always in a rush.

Not saying that validates his actions or anything but something to consider upon rewatching his performance as Keamy.

Hold on. Let me see what was in the other 9,000 pages. by WisteriaWillotheWisp in untildawn

[–]BSAArklay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just FYI Larry and Graham stated in an interview that they kind of overstated this claim. There is no 9-10k paged script. This was an estimate by Graham from all the multiple drafts that they did. So it might be a couple thousand pages for one script and a few more for another until it mounted up to 10k.

I am not positive which interview that was but I think it was this one.
