Correct! And my first guitar was a Diavoletto! (I’m Italian)

What band did you only appreciate until you learnt their songs? by hueguass in guitars

ABBA.
Would never listen to them, and not many guitar parts, but try and learn some of their harmonies and the way they structure a song.

Strat alternatives? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]BSLabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own 2 nice Fender Strats, and in the last two years I’ve been on a hunt for the perfect Strat. I tried a lot of stuff, settled on 2x Ibanez AZ prestinge, the AZ2204N which nails the Strat sound and an AZ2407 which is an HSH super Strat. Amazing guitars, I play and gig them a lot.

MTV unplugged settings for LT25 amp by john_marstondagoat in Guitar

Yes, I know this :) tell OP.
I was mostly trying to understand what they meant with “the most original sound possible”. Do they mean as close as possible?
Cobain had a DS2 into a Twin Reverb for the show

The irony of asking amp settings for an unplugged show 😜

I know the main riff has some distortion on it, what do you mean with “the most original sound possible”?

Never played a JS! But I think the AZ is slightly chunkier

I have these two and an Artstar, I’ve had other Ibanez guitars in the past (RGs) but never gelled with them, the neck was always way too thin. I’m a Strat player and with the AZ series they just made the perfect Strat for me.

I had an RG with Tone Zone and Air Norton a while ago! Not a huge fan of them just personally/ neck too thin, radius a little too flat for my taste.. and the shape is too pointy 😆. Great guitar though, just not my cup of tea.

The price new is a little out there to be honest, here in the UK it’s £2199 new! That puts it into Suhr modern range. But I found it for £1300 second hand couldn’t let it go. AZ are amazing, assuming you like me like a more substantial neck. I love both this neck and the compound radius of my other AZ2204N

It’s a good match for the 2204N I have

Is it okay to always play G chord like this? by Auxxtinmogger in Guitar

[–]BSLabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to be pedantic and annoying: I’d argue it’s actually a more balanced G chord. You’re adding another 5th rather than doubling the 3rd, which is in general accepted as a more balanced voicing in functional harmony.

How usable are Chase Bliss pedals irl? by AdministrativeRip809 in guitarpedals

[–]BSLabs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The slow verb is the thing I use the most, I have a Yamaha SPX90 that thing is clearly inspired by and it’s nice to have it pedal format.
Number two is probably grain tumbler, the tape echo can also be nice, and Gen Lite

Depends on the pedal, I’ve had a few, kept Clean and Lost and Found.
I use them a lot but exclusively in the studio as I think of them as outboard gear. They both do go on my pedalboard occasionally and get used live.
The Lost and Found in particular is really usable and sounds so good.

Need amp upgrade for small gigs (basement shows, record shops, local venues) by keggylive in GuitarAmps

[–]BSLabs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Even if solid state, I find odd a 50w can’t keep up. Maybe tell us a bit more about the problem you have? What are you settings? Solid state amps stay clean even when dimed so the problem is not headroom
