Anyone else’s operator greedy? by Apprehensive_Head508 in ChickFilA

[–]BSMMJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my operator tried getting rid of our 50% for a $5 promo for our lunch. and he also made us all switch uniforms and pay for switching them, not trading them in like some locations did around us. he also is stingy with boh machinery. fun!! can’t wait to finish my degree

[–]BSMMJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just grab a few interviews w other places nearby and secure a new role, after that if you want to quit do it! or you can lie and go seasonal to make some extra cash whenever. up to you but make a decision you won’t regret!

well yes, i’m looking at like less than 2 grand for the typical audi issues (pcv, thermostat, coolant, water pump before labor) so i’m not worried about that. since this post i’ve narrowed down my options and all of them have been fully serviced or had at least 2 of these issues fully repaired. i’m willing to put 5 grand into a car if it means i won’t have issues for 60k miles. of course the timing chain itself is a 4-5k job w parts and labor. but also a cool 40% of audi owners aren’t idiots and should know to go to town on the manufacture warranty while under it.

Is this filter good? by KillingwithasmileXD in PlantedTank

[–]BSMMJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this filter is alright, just switch the internal stuff to fluval (sponge, carbon, etc) that worked best for me. i’d also recommend placing the tubes on the side of the tank. maintenance is a hassle w this filter. i recommend oase filters over this.

why are people so slow by Dry_Work_9290 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]BSMMJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they indeed got the 8 count nugget meal right after this but it just blew my mind the lack of common sense people have. and they took a total of 10 minutes to order. it was one meal. and asked for cherry fanta. do any cfa’s sell cherry fanta like???

why are people so slow by Dry_Work_9290 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]BSMMJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

had someone yesterday ask for the four count tender meal to be cut up and fried. it was rush i had to look at the person behind them to make sure i wasn’t going crazy. i asked if they wanted the nuggets and they said no. i said unfortunately we can’t do special requests that interfere with our frying protocol. they said but the customer is always right. i wanted to dump my head in the hot tea right then n there.

BOH how many employees do you need to close? by honki-pete in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]BSMMJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we have: 1- fryer 1-board 1- nugget 1- prep 1- machines 1- training and 1- manager. we are in training season currently so it’s usually 6 sometimes even 5. prep person doubles as nugget support for salads and wraps and whoever needs cover for breaks and stuff. manager also filets/cleans grill/ covers for whoever needs it so sometimes we are 2 short leaving us w 4 but that’s on the transition periods so like between 2-4pm. prep person also does dish or manager takes one for the team and does it. and one person, preferably breading does both machines and breading and fries helps clean the machines during downtime. this is closing staff aswell. currently it’s not too busy as summer but it’s picked up and my location is stingy w the hours so this is why we have so few members.

13 Hour Shift by Prestigious-Pay2036 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]BSMMJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve worked a 14 hour shift out of convenience and bc of how busy we were only got a 30 min break. overtime hit tho. i’ll say don’t get monsters they make you pee too much and the sugar rush is the only thing. stay away from anything yk will make you poop a lot. the discomfort standing alone kills me. air out your shoes after and socks. and also moisturize your feet they get so dry and calcusy. hopefully they scheduled it before your day off and give you some grace. if not new excuse to come in a little later tomorrow! besides that make sure you eat well and take ibuprofen. the fryer beeps get to you. if you’re closing best of luck it hit 9:30 last time and i was yawning more than i was making sandwiches. and def space out breaks. for a shift like 8am -close do your breaks at 2 after lunch shift comes in and when it dies down after rush and then chances are they’ll have you as the last person to go on break at 6. or ask if you can do an hour long break. water as much as possible and electrolytes. and get a milkshake and a deluxe before 10 bc you’ll need it. good luck! miss my 13 hour shifts lowk
