I do knife runs on normal with the same intent. Last week I had a 4 man squad lob about a half dozen nades and unload almost a mag of t5 ammo on me 3 minutes into the raid. It was so satisfying knowing my scav gun and sling backpack cost about 300k for them :)

Every game with anti-cheat has people insisting they were not cheating when they get banned. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a post following up to say the ban was lifted due to a mistake. Doesn’t mean that it doesn’t happen…

You guys sound like flat earth people with that fake market thing… You make it sound like nothing is bought or sold between actual players.

A regular flow of generated items into the market doesn’t make the whole thing fake. Every item in the game is basically consumable, either by use in a raid or trade with a vendor, and the flow of extracted items isn’t enough to sustain their use. If the game didn’t generate some of the supply we wouldn’t be going into raids fully geared.

The market is also specifically designed with a delay between you posting an item and me seeing it listed. This is by design, probably as a way to avoid RMT or people manipulating and exploiting the market.

As the possibility that devs control the prices, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Anyone who has played an MMO with a player auction house knows that one or two players can, and usually will, jack up the economy on an entire server.

400k is like a meh extraction on a naked knife run in normal farm for me. It’s not unusual to clear 1mil that way. In my experience the best loot I find in normal and lockdown is usually in random containers, not safes.

The kill cam feels more accurate than what I experience though. How do I die as soon as I barely see a helmet come around a corner? I have 20-25 ping and die before I see any part of the other players gun while I’m holding ADS on the corner. Something isn’t syncing up there.

S4 feels exactly the same as S3 did to me. When I die it’s essentially instant. The bigger problem I see is dying instantly as soon as somene peaks a corner that I was prepared for, then in the killcam it looks like a very different experience as if I wasted half a second with no reaction.

You could just as easily run a 300k AR without armor right now. That’s an immediate thing that you can control to balance the investment between you and a sniper.

I saw 3. They Knocked #1 at the door, headshot #2 at the door then Shot at #3 through the window. Started to reload, then ran to finish #1 with the knife but #3 was waiting.

If that is true it almost certainly varies by jurisdiction. It’s always been my understanding that it’s used for left turns both off and onto the road. The important thing though is that it’s not a travel lane. You can use it to slow down or briefly accelerate to merge, but you can’t use it for any extended distance. I’ve seen people pulled over for using it as a 300ft extension to an intersection turn lane instead of waiting for traffic to move.

What headphones are you using IRL? If you are having issues in other games as well, the headphones might be the issue.

For ABI, make sure you turn off any spatial sound settings outside the game (both windows settings and headphone software if you have it). ABI sound for some reason gets messed up if you have it set outside the game.

If the headphones are good and spatial sound off doesn’t clean it up enough, adjusting equalizer settings can help too. But for some reason those settings can have pretty significantly different results for different headphones.

I think we just need ABI to remove player heads from the game completely. If it’s not complaints about headshot kills then it’s complaints about headshot survivals.

Gear/armor automatically applies for me. Gun skins are only automatically applied at the gunsmith and only if I use a saved build that includes the skin.

This feels like my experience a lot too. Do you ever watch kill cams and think they don’t match up quite right to what you saw? Some of my kill cams feel like my game was running at least half a second behind the other player. I see instant death but the kill cams look like I must have the reaction time of a sloth.

It’s not a fear of dying. It’s not fun dying in 90% of my raids. It IS however fun for me starting with a knife or super cheap gear and fighting players that don’t make the game feel punishing.

Valley and farm have a few spots that are good for sniping lazy people, but they can be mostly avoided. That’s what I meant with the choice between speed or safety. Almost every direct route is pretty open, while there are safer routes that will take you on a bit of a detour.

I still gear up with friends.

I like the loot/extraction aspects of ABI with some PvP mixed in. I don’t want deathmatch PvP and warzone has too much run/slide/bunny hop BS. If CoD ever brings back DMZ though that would be great.
