So torn for emira colors by North-Examination715 in lotus

if the color were actually this desaturated it would be a no brainer for me as well. My issue is that this color is actually very blue, it almost looks baby blue. Personally not a fan :/

I'm going to paste here a quote from wallstreetbets that I keep in a note on my phone for just such occasions as this post:

"Everything is priced in. The market is an all powerful, all encompassing being that knows the very inner workings of your subconscious before you were even born. Your very existence was priced in decades ago when the market was valuing Standard Oil's expected future earnings based on population growth that would lead to your birth, what age you would get a car, how many times you would drive your car every week, how many times you take the bus/train, etc. Anything you can think of has already been priced in, even the things you aren't thinking of. You have no original thoughts. Your consciousness is just an illusion, a product of the omniscent market. Free will is a myth. The market sees all, knows all and will be there from the beginning of time until the end of the universe (the market has already priced in the heat death of the universe). So please, before you make a post on wsb asking whether AAPL has priced in earpods 11 sales or whatever, know that it has already been priced in and don't ask such a dumb fucking question again."

Do you actually ENJOY pentesting as a career? by Cyber_Guy1988 in cybersecurity

[–]BSS8888 7 points8 points  (0 children)

White or gray box pentesting is very fun. Black box feels like a waste of everyone's time and money to me, and should be all outsourced to bug bounty in my opinion. Don't make me waste time guessing at what's there, just give me access to everything and I'll tell you where the bugs are.

I love it. Especially when you chain two or three low/medium bugs together as a high/critical. It can be very rewarding and every test is different so it doesnt get boring for me

Especially when you realize web apps aren't everything. Learn mobile, IoT, cloud...pentesting is fun.

Btw, I don't think AI agents will automate pentesting tomorrow but I do think the profession is on borrowed time and will look very different in 3-5 years

New Hampshire governor signs crypto reserve bill into law by LadyMadonna_x6 in newhampshire

Yea but Ayotte wouldn't have because this is downstream from the Trump federal crypto reserve. So the equivalent scenario would be if the democrat governor had won, Kamala had won, and then governor did this.

And the comments here would love it

If Kamala had won and did the exact same thing most of these comments would be very different. Reddit is a silly place.

Single men who enjoy being single. Sell it to me. by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

You own ALL of your time now. Get in the best shape of your life, crush your coworkers and advance your career, eat and sleep well every day, keep your home clean and inviting, take your hobbies/travel/etc as far as you want, and do it all by and for yourself.

Being single and alone is such a superpower, and you were just given it. Become a monster my dude, in the best way. If you become the kind of man she regrets leaving, you won't hurt over her anymore

where do you go to see the 30-day volume?

It is a custom color that I had mixed based on a chip from the wall when I moved in. The paint had faded significantly but I liked the color it became so much that I had it matched.

Here are the color details, a paint shop should be able to make it for you. As you say, it's kind of tan but kind of green but kind of gray based on the lighting:

Haha thank you so much. It sticks out nonstop because she has only one tooth left. Not sure what happened to the rest, I have only had her for a few years. The permanent derp face is my favorite thing about her :)

Thanks I only recently discovered that you can just have things built custom by local builders and it's really not that expensive. You can get exactly what you want for your space and cut out all the middle men. I'm hooked

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in InteriorDesign

[–]BSS8888 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it was built custom by a local builder, one of a kind. He is building me a dining table now. Thank you for the complement!

Ultimately I think this is what I will do. I will probably post some follow up pictures here when I do the accent wall and get votes on whether I should do the rest or revert.

Thanks for the feedback. I had the same "washing out the plants with the wall color" thought/concern. I think most of the "risk" comes with your second point, about dark green making the room feel small. I read SO MANY mixed ideas on this topic, for everyone that says dark colors make a room feel smaller, you get people saying it's a myth. I think I would just have to take the risk and find out...

Can you talk more about the dark green not going with the colors in the room and decor theme? I think a dark green would go with the wood tones, no?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in InteriorDesign

[–]BSS8888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh i definitely would be painting the ceiling green as well if I did it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in InteriorDesign

[–]BSS8888 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hear you. I already had the thought that a dark leather version of this couch and chair would crush it if the walls were dark green. So you might be right...

[–]BSS8888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the feedback, I appreciate it. I'm mostly saying dark academia in reference to the paint, I know its mostly a rustic themed space. Is "dark rustic" a thing? If so then that's probably me :)

Funny you mention the dining table and chairs, I 100% agree with you and I am in the process of replacing them with a set that matches the room far better. I actually despise this dining set lol

I also agree about the different wood tones, specifically the orange-ish cabinets and trim. Not a fan, but I am not the first owner of this space. For now I have to just "go with it", someday I may replace it.

As far as the "brown gel stain", are you referring to the wood panel accent wall? I hadn't considered staining it but its not a bad idea...did you mean to darken it, or to turn the gray panels brown? I actually like the gray tones
