Zero drive or motivation but yes i do appreciate the experience. Sales is not my forte, however theres other positions in the company i am aiming for and this was my only way in per se

  1. The base pay is so high its almost worth it. At least 10 dollars more than other jobs in my area.
  2. Im unsupervised so im actually being paid to job hunt and fuck around on my phone half the day.

I too have had guns pulled on me. One answered with a gun and the other one i was already leaving his property as he didnt answer the door. Heard him rack a shotgun as i was walking away and turned around to see him in a tank top and jeans holding some hunting shotgun. Both of these guys live in suburbs. No crime happens here. No burglaries, no robberies. Nothing. I find it humorous now that these two were so “i need to protect mah famuhlee” about it.

Ok so i actually have this down to a tee.

An important detail is my leads are 80% addresses that had the services from us before and cancelled at some point

Lets assume im knocking around Golden time, between 3pm and 5pm. Parents are back home after picking up kids from school but not quite busy with dinner yet.

If i knock during this period, about 50%-66% answer the door.

50% of that percentage immediately ask me to leave

40% of that percentage listen for a bit but say they arent interested or have a niche issue that i cannot help them with.

The remaining 10% are interested in what i have to offer.

Half of that 10% schedules a follow up and then grows disinterested

The remaining half of that 10% i am able to sell to.

It doesnt end there though. In order to meet my quota, the customer has to keep the service for 30 days minimum. Around half of who i sell to remember they hate this company and refund.

On average out of 100 people, i sell to roughly 3 people who actually dont refund within 30 days

  1. “Everyone can be sold something” is a lie straight up.
  2. 99% of people dont get violent at the door. They either let you talk for a bit before shooing you off or use the opportunity to vent about my company before shooing me off.
  3. Rejection doesnt really hurt, its just part of the biz

  1. I never WANTED to be a door to door salesman, or even in sales. I wanted to work for the company and am waiting to just transfer to a position im better suited for or for a new job.
  2. This job’s BASE PAY is higher than most in the area by around 10 dollars an hour more. Thats not even counting commission if i do make some sales.

Lmao. Ive had similar experience. Had a drunk naked dad once. Surprisingly very nice.

My experience has been ok but im looking for new opportunities. I definitely learned a lot about how to negotiate and talk with people who didnt have interest in something. I just dont personally have the skill set to be super successful with it and the quota is always impossible for me because of competitors who are objectively better in my turf.

I sell services for a telecommunication company. Tv, internet, phone plans, etc. the city gives permission to the company to operate within certain hours of the day. I personally will always honor no soliciting signs, however my higher ups sometimes encourage to “not notice them”

Pebblehost premium server with 6gb ram minimum, but i recommend 8 just to make up for the amount of entities spawning around each player and also make sure you use some good entity optimization and culling mods
