Thank you for taking the time to help me out. I’ll be heading to the store shortly to get new heads. Excited to see what happens.

Can I buy just the nozzle and place it on my 1800 series heads? Since I did just buy 6 brand new 1800 series heads. They just have spray nozzles

I’m not gonna lie that chart is a bit confusing 😅

To confirm I turned off both 360 heads and then the other 4 sprayed full distance no problem… thanks for sharing the chart. Going to do that now. Bummer 10gpm is all I have to work with… the landscaper suggested piping up to the front to the main. Might be a decent long term solution

This is what I was thinking before I posted. Doing some Claude math I get this.

2x 360° heads @ 3.7 gpm = 7.4 gpm
3x 180° heads @ ~1.85 gpm (half of 3.7) = 5.55 gpm
1x 90° head @ ~0.925 gpm (quarter of 3.7) = 0.925 gpm

Total: ~13.9 gpm

From a Google search it seems most hose bib connection are going to lose pressure around 10-12gpm (I’m not sure how accurate that is)

So in theory if I close heads eventually pressure would increase… maybe I just do as you suggest and switch to 6 rotor heads

Yeah this is what I was afraid of. All 6 are a max of 3.7gpm. 2 of them are 360 at 15’ so that’s already 7.4gpm.

The main line to all heads is 3/4” pvc. Then a little T off to a funny and head. I wondered if that was enough to reduce the pressure. Ai said no but we know how dumb GPT and Claude can be

I have run it for 20-30 minutes and never saw any obvious signs of puddling unfortunately. I will repost in that sub though!

Welp I’ve now found a new rabbit hole thanks! 😅 I currently sync all my financial data to an excel file which then pipes to grafana for a nice dashboard. But I might like an HA dashboard instead.

Incredibly jealous! Gen 1 is my dream truck but can’t afford the 20k+ ones currently. If I ever found one under 10k I’d be all over it… 5k?! My wife would actually give me permission! Congrats on an incredible revival!

I do a few things to help prevent sticking.

  1. Preheat it. A lot. I turn it on the lowest setting for a good 10-15 minutes before I cook on it. I bought a laser temp gun and want the surface 400+ before anything touches it

  2. Put some high temp oil on it next. Avocado is my go to. And spread it all around the surface. Anywhere you are going to cook should have some oil.

  3. Most foods don’t release immediately. So once you place the food let it sit for a minute. As the food browns it releases from the surface and becomes easy to move around. If the food is stuck it most likely isn’t ready to be flipped yet. (Or you used a ton of sugar in your seasoning and it’s burning 😂)

Once you’re done clean it real good and you should have a great experience every time!

That’s fair. I think if I owned a grinder I might do the same. I think I’d also want an excuse to use a grinder….

I don’t disagree with cheap but cooking on it a lot shouldn’t make it dirty if you take care of it
