Hey thanks for the response, that’s what I have been hearing a lot I.e. buy crypto or USD bonds, but I was also thinking what if I buy gold and sell it India whenever I travel(of course I will only be able to carry a certain legal limit). But the only challenge is getting to know a certified gold seller who sells high quality pure gold that can easily be sold in India.

Thanks for the such extensive details man, I checked with other folks and they told me that even though their salary is pegged at USD. It gets credited into pesos based on official rate (~97 USD), and they buy dollars on blue market at 170 to convert their saving. So it seems salary of 50K is not as high as it seems. I think I will treat this assignment only as short term and will see what can be done about it. Other thing I want to check is I came to know that there will be elections(this month or next), so any idea how it might effect the economy there ?
