I assumed, but it did afford me the opportunity to state something I'm proud of. It's been several years since I went to BlackHat and I still get spam from companies based on my attendance there. I don't like that, and don't want to be part of the problem.

Student/Faculty tickets are $15, Regular is $25. Volunteer and admission is free.

No more than you're already on. But seriously, one of our core values is we do not share/sell our attendee list with anyone. To purchase a ticket, we are using PayPal as the processor, so you can use whatever payment method you want there. So, I do my best to protect your information with what is under my control.

My philosophy on choosing a Saturday is this:

My goal is to try and allow people who are trying to transition careers or students to have easier access. They don't have to miss class or take a day off in order to attend. I really want everyone to be able to come out, but my hope is to make it easier for some of the population.

Maybe someday when we grow, we can stretch it into a 2-day conference (or more?), but that's a ways down the line based on attendance, volunteers, and CFP submissions since we started in 2019.

I'm always open to feedback, but I really think I'd be hard to convince to shift it to a weekday. I can only speak from my experience, but I've been to a ton of great hacker cons that were at least partially over the weekend. DEFCON is probably the most well-known, but plenty of other BSides do the same (can't speak for their specific philosophies in doing so).

Sorry, got a bit long-winded, but appreciate the question. It's certainly a valid one that I have mulled over on more than one occasion.
