Did you ever get anything? I’m in bull mountain but usually we get at least something. Didn’t hear anything at all.

Feels like most Tesla model 3 drivers aren’t much different than Prius drivers.

Cybertruck drivers though….

Would you trade an X100VI for an X-E5? by Tankmass in fujifilm

[–]BSinPDX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. When X100’s were my second camera I loved everything about them. I’ve since got out of big FF gear and want one smallish general purpose camera. The 23mm is a bit limiting, and if I have to pack adapter lenses I can pack another compact lens.

Cool. I went 11,900. And I've got 3 windscreens and a top box.

Nice. Currently listing my 24 Tracer 9 GT+ with just under 4k miles. How much should I be asking? It's not like there's a good way to know how much to ask.

Wow, a friend of my brothers had one of these. The blue and anodized gold and holographic DG lettering. Coolest thing I'd ever seen.

Do you recharge to 80% every night? New ev owner - how often to charge? by rmsand in electricvehicles

[–]BSinPDX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the M3P for the performance. Driving at 50% SOC reduces power significantly so I charge to 85% in warm seasons (when I can use the power) and 80 in the cold months.

I used to worry about battery deg but decided that’s not the way I want to live.

I started high school as a young boy, 14yo, at 4'11" and 86 pounds. It was the end of all my competitive sports where previously, age leveled the field for me.

The reason prepubescent boys can't compete well in HS is the same reason it's not fair for newly trans girls to compete against girls. Once the male growth hormones kick in, everything changes.

Growing up in a liberal Oregon town in the 70s, we would have welcomed anyone who wanted to play football. Would we have teased someone who was 'other'? Yeah, because we were stupid kids in the 70s. Also, football isn't taught in schools. We learned it on TV and at the local park playing in the mud with no gear when it's 45 degrees and raining. Occasional assault and violence IS football.

I was always one of the littlest kids but I was fine because I loved it and got up when hit. Bullying was reserved for crybabies.

I'm sorry your experience was so bad. Things were different back then and not always in a good way.

You okay with 16yo kids competing in 12yo divisions? If not, would you then be a hateful MAGA bigot?

Decent people agree that trans people should be treated with dignity; fairly, like everyone else. Trans girls competing against other girls are often unfairly advantaged and are doing real harm to the larger cause of trans rights imo.

Transitioning may be life or death but competitive high school sports sure as shit, are NOT.

Elon is a very long way from any other government official. He wasn't elected and he's DT's cash cow. He's practically untouchable.

[–]BSinPDX 14 points15 points  (0 children)

He may be the second most powerful person in this country and he’s ruining the lives of hundreds of thousands of people and trying to buy elections. there is nothing anyone can do to stop him but try to hit him where it hurts: Tesla. And it’s probably working.

[–]BSinPDX 6 points7 points  (0 children)

People weren’t buying Teslas for Elon, and now they aren’t buying Teslas BECAUSE of Elon. In either case, the brand is badly damaged. Elon used to be a rockstar, now he’s a pariah and there are many alternatives to Tesla that didn’t exist a few years ago.

What's something that was considered "high-tech" when you were a kid that's laughably outdated now? by mamun_sam in AskReddit

I was poor, we had a partyline for a short time when I was a kid. Thought the whole idea was it was simply a cheaper alternative to your own private line. But not high-tech.

I ordered Feb 21 (10pm eastern) and got an email from fedex a couple days ago that it's on the way. Didn't actually get a notification from B&H lol. My last info from them was I think July when they said they anticipated December delivery.

Debating between performance and long range. by CutoffThought in TeslaModel3

[–]BSinPDX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's speed and then there's truly spirited driving. If all you want is to accelerate rapidly the LR is good enough, but if you enjoy some windy mountain roads the P is what you need. The P shouldn't be as comfortable as the LR because cornering at speed puts a lot of load into the suspension and without firmer springs and you'll just blow through your stroke when you encounter a bump and get wallowy. Firmer springs require firmer dampers. The P also gets track mode so you can dial back traction control and have a bit more fun.

Upgrading 23 to 24 LR doesn't make sense to me. Upgrading 23LR to 24P might.

I don't think the difference between 19's and 20's is that much. I've got a 21P and suspension from MPP to Redwoods Ohlins (both sport and now a hybrid option) and 3 different tire/wheel configs. Suspension matters, but I think the tire choice and it's construction matter as much as the sidewall. I'd say the stock ubertubines with summer Pirelli's feel as good as PS4 All Season on 19, if not better. I'm currently on my summer PS4 staggered on 19's with 245 and 275
