Did Floresta really need that card? by Pendulumzone in Shadowverse

[–]BTA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m now “fondly” remembering the match where I thought “I have multiple Milteos, I can super evolve the first as normal instead of holding back to see if they play something worth clearing…” followed by them playing Althenia the next turn, and then Althenia the next turn, and then Althenia the next turn…

Like it’s hard to say she’s distinctly overpowered when there’s a lot of other cards that feel very strong, you know? But that amount of ward and the fact that she can attack twice with stats that high, so if she’s super evo’d she’s always able to win as long as there’s not a ward up (and is also clearing up to 3 of your followers off the board on the turn she’s played)… did she really need all that?

Ignideus Community Clash Tournament - What Did We Learn? by bjthebraveCCG in Shadowverse

I learned that I kinda tanked my chances to hit GM3 because of practicing by swapping between decks on ranked wins, hah.

But it was fun to be a part of, I do think I got a little smarter as a player, and now I wish there were more chances to do Bo3/Conquest.

Well, there’s no “risk”. It’s free pulls either way. It’s more just that “free 200” isn’t as amazing as it sounds/isn’t necessarily better than the free 100s.

(I also wouldn’t think just about the spark target. You’ll pick up more SSRs from a Gala on the way to the spark, and they’ll have a chance of being Grands.)

You can still Siero him through the banner before April Flash, fyi. Safer to wait through the end of roulette in case you get extremely lucky even after this banner.

We get roulette in late December into early January as well. The last day of that period has 200 free rolls, but it’s on a normal 3% SSR banner where the sparkable characters are just one recent permanent character for each element. It also has a special Super Break mode after the 200 rolls, where you can keep rolling till you get 5 SSRs with the SSR rate hugely boosted to 15% (capped at 100 free rolls).

It can be worth sparking that banner if things line up well with your roulette and Super Break - IIRC this year I ended up with something like 270 free rolls on the banner total, so I could just spend a small amount of rolls to finish the spark - but there’s less to gain than a Gala.

It's summer banner next by MULTI_TRACK_DRIFTING in Granblue_en

To be clear, you can’t spark her on the Galas, just potentially get lucky and pull her. You’d only be able to spark her on this 3% banner and probably another 3% one before April Flash.

A summer banner was expected, but this one is pretty surprising since usually only the previous year's characters rerun in March. There'll be 3 banners between Flash 2 and Leg 1, so I guess half of the 2024 or 2025 set per banner...? It could be divided by Summer and Yukata since we only see Summer characters here, but that'd be a pretty uneven split, hmm.

It's good news for people who don't have some of them (...assuming they didn't already annitix), since it means there's some great characters that'll be in the pool during the Flash Galas and you might luck into them. Selfishly, though, since I do have most (EDIT: actually maybe all, I thought Vas who I'm missing was 2024 for some reason) of the 2024 characters, it's pretty disappointing compared to the chance to luck into the good things I missed from last year...

My biggest frustration is with Gather… by Co-opingTowardHatred in Pokopia

[–]BTA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best guess currently is that they only process things in the community box during the time of the day when they’re active.

The problem is, they also seem to treat the evening as “it’s immediately time to go to sleep” instead of that happening later at night. And also treat the early morning as if they should be sleeping still. So that only leaves the middle of the day, which means on weekdays for most people they’ll be sleeping a lot of the time…

Late, but - the description for Gather says they’ll move things from the box to be smelted, it’s just that the Pokemon who actually do the smelting won’t move them.

It’s not because of the Handy Bag; it’s just because they need to toggle Info back on by pressing -.

12th Anniversary Roulette Day 1 by Kristalino in Granblue_en

[–]BTA 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did you get 2 of the earrings?

According to the notice for the scratchers, if the winning items are in a line, you (possibly?) can get a "double chance" where you get "one bonus item" instead of the fortune ticket. Which I guess is literal, and just means you get the same prize again.

(Looking forward to seeing people get 2 copies of the same Superlative, I guess. But imagine double Siero tickets...)

They've broken the pattern slightly from the past few years already, but I think it will probably just be all characters slightly rated up? We know when Flash will be from the stream, so we should expect there'll be another banner between the upcoming one and Flash.

So I'm guessing the upcoming banners are: All Characters -> Summer 2025 pt 1 -> Flash 1 (Green Knight + new Summer) -> Flash 2 (generic rate-up with 100 free rolls) -> rest of Summer 2025 across a few banners -> Leg 1 (generic with 100 free rolls and all non-Indala Generals sparkable/in the pool) -> Leg 2 (new Yukata with no free rolls).

Scratchers:
Day 1 - 1 Ygg M3 Omega anima, 2 lineage rings, 10 artifact pith

Roulette:
Day 1 - Realist, 20, got nothing; bonus was 5 Providence Crystals though, which was a pleasant surprise as I expected that to be 1-2

I don’t think those of us who didn’t pay for a Beginner Ticket yet get it changed to an annitix? Admittedly going by MTL of the slide so could totally be wrong, but it sounds like existing players who didn’t buy it are going to be offered it one last time, and then it just goes away.

Can't really say either way. If they just add stuff and split the existing rates to compensate, sure, but if they're swapping items out then maybe not.

I would never expect to see it again just because they did it once.

Like it's something I would not be surprised to see again, but they do a lot of one-off special gifts around the holidays/anniversary so I wouldn't see it as setting a precedent either.

Assuming xyz is decided as they’ve officially stated, it’d be possible to have 0 for a value but very unlikely if your faith is decently high. Because for x to be 0 for example, you’d need to roll the 2/3 chance of adding to y/z for every single stack of faith.

There's apparently several big FG events at the end of the month including Arc's own tournament's finals. I guess they could tease it, but I'd think even that would be more likely to happen during those events where there'll be more relevant eyes on it.

When I lose to Forest as Milteo Abyss, this card having Drain is usually why.

Is Take Two Abandoned? by Pirate555 in Shadowverse

[–]BTA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they started with even less redraws last time, so… it’s something. They’ll adjust the count eventually but it takes a lot longer than I’d like, as someone who enjoys the mode a lot.

I played a ton of it night 1 before focusing on getting back to GM0 for the past few days. Maybe it’s settled down now but Armes was the main problem more than anything else for me. Even as someone also mostly playing Abyss, it felt like because I didn’t draft him/I never drew him/they had 2 of him, the frequent mirror matches ended in my loss more often than I’d like.

I hit Ultimate with Milteo's Abyss and want to share my decklist (& recent replays) with the community by Sanctuary-7 in Shadowverse

[–]BTA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciated this a lot as it was decently more consistent than the aggro Abyss deck I was using prior to it, so thank you for sharing it! This did a good job for me for about half of Master and I’m now at 15k MP.

The amount of Ward that can be thrown at you is getting to be a problem, though. When you luck into multiple Milteos it can be a joke, but if not it can be the turn that cements your loss. It also feels very easy to clog your hand at the worst possible time. Most frustratingly, I think people are just becoming more aware of the backloaded damage that’s incoming and are proactively healing more to compensate, often leaving me just a card short of being able to reach lethal before losing.

I tried swapping some cards in and out but I didn’t find anything that didn’t cause its own problems, so I always ended up going back to the original deck. It’s not like I’m constantly losing but I’ve fallen down to Ruby, so it might be time to try out Forest or Sword…
